Phenomenal clarity and dynamics!

Hand built in Denmark, the Comp Nova guitar effects pedal is easy to use and delivers uncolored sound with awesome clarity, detail, and dynamics, even at extreme compression levels. It's designed for guitarists who want to thicken up and smooth their tone and who crave that much sought-after "chime." Very subtle and transparent even at full sustain. Great for blues and jazz. Controls include an Attack knob which adjusts both attack and threshold, plus Compression and Volume knobs. (The Volume knob has unity gain in the 12 o'clock position and delivers a 3dB boost at the maximum setting.) 9V battery operation.

A Lame Pedal

Comments about T-Rex Engineering CompNova Compressor Pedal:

This is a "boutique" pedal made in Taiwan. Words and expressions recently used in the market (as "transparent" or "it is true to your tone") are catches that a customers has to decipher for their real meaning. Which sometimes equals "almost zero effect".
I recently bought this pedal led by the wirds "transparent" and "subtle". And the pedal almost did nothing for my sound. Compression is very little effective; as well as sustain.
Case is rughed, well painted and controls are positive and work well. There was a noticeable hum when I plugged the pedal, no matter whether it was on or off.
This is an expensive compression pedal. Customers would be more well served with something like a Boss or an MXR.

Best pedal on my board!

Comments about T-Rex Engineering CompNova Compressor Pedal:

The overdrive pedal is the #1 pedal in any guitarists rig, but this compressor by T-Rex is by far the best pedal I have ever owned. I looked at buying the Boss CS-3, MXR Dynacomp, Analogman BiComp, and Keeley. But the T-Rex took home the prize. It gives just the right amount of compression / sustain without giving away any tone.
