After a dozen or so shows now with the Replica, I'm still impressed every time I kick it on. I keep it in brown mode, and run it at the end of my pedal chain into the front of the amp. It's so rich and clear and warm and full, and can do longer delay times without muddying up like the analog delay I was using (MXR Carbon Copy...not knocking it...great pedal). Sadly, it makes the delays in my Line 6 M5 and TC G Major sound a little shrill and sterile (also both great units, the Replica just does delay better). I bought one of the used ones, and had a gift card which made the price less painful. I can't say that I'd shell out the cash for a brand new one, but if you get creative - check MF for a used one and maybe sell some of that gear you have laying around - it's worth the effort. If there's a better sounding digital delay out there, I'd love to hear it.
The only suggestion I have for an improvement is: provide an expression pedal option. It would be great if I could control the # of repeats without reaching down to the pedal.

Maybe I'm an unlucky guy. I bought a used one on ebay and the Subdivsion function did not (function). I tried the heck out of it - followed the instructions and looked at multiple on-line videos. It flat out did not work (tried both recommended methods). I returned it for a full refund + shipping - the seller was embarrassed because he tried it and saw it didn't work. He said he 'thought' it did when he sold it. So, I decided to try 'a' new one. I ordered from Musician's Friend and it was exactly the same. At this point, I thought I'd try 1 more because I couldn't have that bad of luck. Well, I got the new one and that too did not work. I got on-line to see if others had this experience and lo and behold - I found several people who had the same complaint. Worse yet, there were people who answered these posts saying theirs did the same, but they really didn't care because they didn't need to use that? Holy C&%&p People! What did work has a really good sound. But for $400 - shouldn't everything work? And why would I trust that the unit will hold up past the warranty period under these circumstances. And good luck trying to contact these clowns in Denmark. They don't list phone numbers in the literature.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
I got mine this week and I could not be happier. The sound is outstanding, perfect for recording. I sold my Aqua Puss and only kept my Replica cause this pedal can do it all. The brown option is really cool and vintage but the normal setting is like no other. If you dont like having many delay pedals and want just 1 pedal that can give you many differet colors and sounds, sell the others and get the Replica like I did, cause it is expensive but it worths every penny.
I seen some people having issues with the subdivision, but I think its cause they did not know how it works. I had to watch a couple of demos to understand how to use this feature, once you understand it, it works great.
Great, I was not expecting less than this...
I preferred to wait until I could afford this pedal than just buy a boss, Line6 or a TC delay.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
I've had mine for a couple of years, so this no first-breath-of-springtime-review.It delivers everything I want and nothing i don't. Clean delays, I always use the brown setting. Tap Tempo is flawless, and I guess I'm the luck one, because the subdivision works perfectly for me. It's in 2, or it's in 3. You do have to re-tap the tempo after you change the subdivision. Not that hard. If you only need a simple, beautiful delay, this is for you. If you want looping, ping pong or whatever, look elsewhere.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
I was in the market to buy a delay. I researched religiously for a month and a bit. I bought an analog maxon AD999. IT turned out I wasn't an analog kinda guy.... I still like the maxon... but it didn't do enough for me. so then I shelled out even more $$ and got the replica. AWESOME. wished I bought this one first. it holds it own... I think it won an award, I believe it. this is one of my fav pedal on my board. Digital delays are better (my own opinion) cause they're articulate. analog still good but suck with lots of re reverb..too much color and warmth.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
Amazing. That's it. This pedal sounds as clear and warm as you could ever hope for. The delay quality sounds so much better than all other digital delays. T-rex didn't go for all the bells and whistles like other delay pedals. They kept it simple and make it really great. That's why its been the top delay for years now. Highly Highly recommended.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
Fantastic tone, amazingly uncolored! Tap tempo is a MUST now days and the subdivision (triplets) and brown swith make for a very wide aray of coulours and textures. One flaw (that seriously bumed me out) is that if you try to correct the tempo while the unit is running it resets the delay sound... meaning your delay stops ringing and starts again, which totaly ruins your riff/lick/run if you need to readjust the speed. The DD-20 (which doesn't even exist compared to this, pardon my sin there) doesn't have this. Thought that might be a significant detail for some of you fellas out there.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
My goal is to have effects that do NOT affect the sound of my guitar-this has true bypass when switched off-a must. When on, it still does not affect my tone at all. It simply adds an echo in addition to my untouched usual sound. This thing does exactly what it professes. The "brown" setting is a perfect substitute for an Echoplex, only without the noise! Dead quiet. I gave it a 4.0 for value only because of the high price. However, if you can afford it and you have discriminating ears, you will discover why it costs so much. Extremely pleased with the purchase.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
The subdivision does not work. I had 2 different units. It's not hard to do. Press the subdivision button and then tap a tempo. It still does not work. It's not hard to use and it's not me. The subdivision function does not work. I'll say it again. It does not work. With all the reviews out there and everybody that has problems, do you think everybody is stupid or do you think the subdivision doesn't work? Try it if you want to, just be sure you can return it (don't velcro it to your board or do anything else to it that would make it unreturnable. The subdivision function does not work. For the price, it should work out of the box, without emails to TRex and without messing around asking questions on the various forums. It doesn't work. End of story.
Comments about T-Rex Engineering Replica Delay/Echo Pedal:
Looking to replace my L6 Echo Park since it has a less than good buffered circuit and really sucks the life out of the signal path. The Replica has most of the important features (to me) of the Echo Park and sounded awsome and was the perfect replacement BUT...the delay trail is cut off as soon as you turn off the pedal??? Not even a choice here! That is probably the most important part next to actually being able to deliver the repeats. The Echo Park and the Boss DD-5 both does this superbly and the EP even has a toggle so you can decide for yourself. So this pedal became totally useless (again, to me) but if you don't mind that issue it's a great pedal. Due to this flaw it's no more than an average pedal.
