Sick of being buried in the mix? Here's your solution!

The new Tonebug Booster from T-Rex Engineering is a boost pedal designed to give you a clean volume boost for your solos. Enhanced with an EQ-shifting Scoop control, the Tonebug Booster has everything you need to cut through the mix when it's your time to shine.

You know the problem—it's time for you launch into another brilliant solo, how do you make yourself heard above the rest of the band? Basically, you've got to turn up the volume, but that's easier said than done.

You can keep the volume knob on your guitar down when you're playing rhythm and turn it up for leads – but that takes half the tone and all the shine out of your rhythm sound. Or you can turn around and crank up your amp in the middle of the song missing bars, losing your audience and—let's face it—usually forgetting to turn it down again when your solo is over.

The Tonebug Series Booster is the perfect solution when you want to turn your volume up or down on the fly without losing your tone. The way it works couldn't be simpler: you set the right volume for your solos compared to rhythm parts, and then you stomp on the box when you take a solo.

Added SCOOP control
Sometimes, tweaking your EQ can also help you rise above the rest of the band. That's why Booster comes with a cool SCOOP knob that lets you fine-tune your solo tone in addition to boosting your volume.

Part of the T-Rex Tonebug Series
Booster is part of the T-Rex Tonebug Series, a growing line of pedals that combines the classic T-Rex tone found in their high-end pedals with intuitive, uncomplicated controls—all at a price that any guitarist can afford.

Features
  • Simple, effective boosting that won't color your rhythm tone
  • Boost knob controls amount of volume boost
  • Scop control adjusts the tone of your boosted signal

Comments about T-Rex Engineering ToneBug Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:

I have been dabbling for 20 years-- call it an expensive hobby.
Although I have yet to do any side-by-side comparisons, or even use thepedal at length, The first few times I used it I was pleasantly surprised. Also scooped it up as a DOD..... Nice.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering ToneBug Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've been buying and using pedals reguarly for over 20 years now, and never before this pedal did I ever have a NEW pedal only work for a few seconds then quit. I got it from Musician's Friend, made sure it worked, put it in the box, came back to put it on my board a day later, and it was nothing but noise (static and squealing while turning knobs). No abuse, boxed, brand new, to broken. This thing is going back as fast as I can ship it. I'd try another one because I understand lemons happen, just be advised to proceed with caution if you decide to try it out in the first place. One plus is that it did sound pretty good for the 30 seconds it worked.

Comments about T-Rex Engineering ToneBug Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:

I run my acoustic guitars through this into a Behringer ULTRACOUSTIC ACX1000 amplifier and use the DI output into a Behringer EUROPOWER PMP1680S 10-Channel Powered Mixer out to two Behringer B215XL 15" 1000W Passive PA Speakers.I model the sound on the amp and use the mixer to boost the output to FOH. The T-Rex doesn't "color" the sound any, just a good clean boost between guitar and amp.

I set the mixer volume for flatpicking and strumming and set the T-Rex to boost the volume when I switch to fingerpicking. Quick check to make sure I'm not overdriving the amp or mixer and it's good to go. Once set it I can forget it. I no longer need to fiddle with volume/gain controls when switching styles, just a press of the button!

Comments about T-Rex Engineering ToneBug Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:

I play in a bluegrass band and I'm constantly overplaying when it gets to my solos because I can't hear them and neither can the audience or the other band members. This is the solution for me. I set the volume for playing rhythm and a volume for solo and now that extra boost is just a foot tap away. Works great!

Comments about T-Rex Engineering ToneBug Booster Guitar Effects Pedal:

Picked this up as a Stupid Deal of the Day. I've been happy with it, does exactly what it says it will do. My signal gets a nice, clean, boost. The tone knob is a nice little bonus to help dial in your sound a bit more if you want. I found that with that tone knob turned to the left more, your signal seems to lessen a bit. Also, I'm not a fan of the input jack placements being up top. Makes it a pain trying to connect it up in my pedal board, but, that's just me. Besides that, seems sturdy enough, looks nice, and boosts your signal as it should. Switched off, doesn't seem to add noise or suck tone from the signal.
