I'm not exactly sure what I was looking for, but this isn't it. I was looking for something to get a slight break up but not like a distortion pedal with gain set to zero. This pedal is smoother than a lingerie model. In most of the settings it just boots the volume and shapes the EQ. Not as much gain as a Boss Blues Driver.
Not a bad pedal, it's just wasn't what I was looking for.
Pretty basic 3 knob configuration, exactly what I want out of an overdrive pedal.
It's hard to wedge a 9 volt into the back compartment. When I forced it in the first time, I ended up shorting out something and would get silence when I didn't want silence. Made in China.
Meh.

Very good pedal-can't go wrong for the price. I would pay more for it now that I know what a quality pedal it is.
Has the usual knobs: Gain, Tone and Level. Very sturdy and built well. This may be a minor thing to most, but what really impressed me was the on/off switch-very smooth and quiet. I have owned/own many pedals that the switch has a loud click and is sticky feeling-takes some effort to depress.
Great warm OD-sounds great on a tube amp. Some have compared it to the Ibanez TS-9 or 808 (which is what I had originally planned on buying-out of stock)- I have never played on the Ibanez so I couldn't really say, but this is great sounding pedal for almost anything-works well for that 80's metal tone.
well worth the money. If does mimic the Ibanez closely, then you can get that tone and save some bucks-
It's not a high gain, harsh sounding OD as compared to my Boss OD-3 and Boss Super OD-much more mellow but creates great sustain with a warm tone.

This is an awesome pedal, particularly for the price. It has a ton of headroom, goes from slight growl to roar. Very clean sounds are possible. The transparency of the sound is great too, the guitar's character shines through. Unlike some other OD's, complex chords aren't washed out, even at high gain settings. The sound is like a tubescreamer with a little more bass and less treble, with maybe a little bit of Fender OD sound mixed in. Very nice. It's built like a tank, too! I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a bluesy OD pedal in this price range.

I've compaired this OD with other really great pedals-That I've used Tonebug OD has more gain/headroom compaired too:TS 808/Alberta/Sparkledrive-Great modern sounds as well as TubescreamerOD Cool vintage looks good value for money
