The TASCAM GA-30CD is a 30W guitar combo amp with killer guitar tone, effects, and a built-in CD trainer. Now you can play with all the tone you want while the TASCAM GA-30CD helps you learn your favorite licks and songs.
The TASCAM GA-30CD's amplification section is all analog for great amp sounds while the multi-effects processor gives you delay, chorus, phasing, and more great-sounding tones. Along with being a flexible guitar amp, the GA-30CD has a built-in CD trainer with its own stereo sound system for playing CDs at virtually any speed and pitch without compromising the amp tone. The TASCAM GA-30CD has a dedicated guitar speaker and 2 additional speakers for stereo CD playback, optimizing the sound for both systems.
Like the acclaimed CD-GT1mkII, the TASCAM GA-30CD plays back CDs with Variable Speed Audition so you can learn licks at slower speeds without changing the pitch. CDs can also be pitched to match the tuning of an instrument, and a built-in tuner is provided. There is also a Guitar Cancel feature for playing along with CDs. Use the line input to play back your MP3 player, microphone preamp, mixer or other audio source.

I've been taking guitar lessons for several months. And this Tascam GA-30-CD is a BIG help. More features than I thought I'd ever play with. Great sound, you can adjust the tempo without killing the sound. GREAT Training/Pracicing tool.Bob W Ozark Mo
I'M sorry to say the first time I purchased the GA-30CD,all was fine until I tried the CD play back. So I returned it, and received another unit. The samething happened the second time, no CD play back. Everything else on the unit worked fine. So I'm sorry to say I wanted my money back. It almost seemed as though they sent me the same one I had sent back. Customer service was great, and I did receive a credit on my credit card. I wish there was a second choice at the same price, because I did like the options the unit offered. Guess I will keep on looking. Buy the way, this is the first time this has happened to me with a Tascam product.
Good amp for the money. I just started to check out the features. The verdict is still out on the CD trainer. I slow it down, but it does not quite do it the way I imagined. As far as everything else, a good jazz sound, metronome, and CD player it is. Glad I got it. Great for making your own music minus one for solo gigs!
I own both the GT MK1 and GT MKII versions of the Tascam guitar trainers. The new GA30CD Trainer/Amp combo is a package that is well though out, as well as working great. It gives you all the advantages and improvements of the orginal guitar trainers and adds a guitar amp to the package. I have used the CD trainers to slow down practice CD's to lower speed for learning the material. There are 6 slower speed settings as well as faster speed settings for the CD. All keep in pitch with your guitar so you can play along and practice. Once you have the song mastered, you can use the guitar cancel function so that you have the accompaniment music--but you add the guitar. Its like having your own backup band to play along with. Volume can be adjusted between the CD and the guitar input so you have a balanced music level. The trainer/amp combo is bigger than I thought it would be. It is big enough for small gigs where you may want to use CD backup music. The 30 watts are adequate--but when improvement time comes--they should up the wattage. Now that everything is in one package--I wont have to haul an amp, a trainer, and all the extra cables to have the same set up. I highly recommend this product.
