OVERVIEW

Will make your sound go round with two distinct chorus settings.

The TC Eletronic Corona Chrous is your go-to pedal for all your shimmering and warbly goodness. With two different chorus settings (the classic world-renowned TC Electronic SCF pedal and a TriChorus) and a custom TonePrint setting, Corona Chorus will stand by you no matter what situation your playing might bring you in.

Corona Chorus features Speed, Depth, Color and Level controls, true bypass design, a small footprint, analog-dry-through, easy-access battery hatch and is built from the highest-quality components.

The SCF Chorus is TC Electronic's legendary chorus pedal, which came to market over 25 years ago and is still and industry standard to this very day, due to its incredible dynamic range and lack of noise.

The TriChorus housing in Corona Chorus gives you access to a great sounding effect which consists of three chorusses working at the same time. Working best in stereo, the relationship between the three chorusses can be manipulated for some truly stellar chorus effects.

Corona Chorus offers great chorus tones right out of the box, but the knobs are specifically designed to allow you to tweak to your heart's desire. The Speed knob lets you dial in anything from slow 80's chorusing to fast leslie-like sounds, while the Depth knob sets how intense the sound is going to be. The Tone knob allows you to dial in the chorus exactly how you like it- from dark and vintage to pristine TC shimmer to a sound that really punches through the mix. And finally, the FX Level determines how much of the effected signal is added to your dry sound.

But there is more to Corona Chorus than meets the eye. It's called TonePrint. Via a simple USB-connection, TonePrint allows you to download custom tunings made by your favorite guitarists straight into your pedal, easy, free and fast. A vast and ever-expanding roster of the finest guitarists alive are working to give you their custom TonePrint settings.

Overall, the TC Electronic Corona is a great pedal, and I don't have any complaints at all. I would give the pedal an overall score of 9, since there's always going to be something better out there.
The 3-position toggle is a really cool feature on the pedal. I find that I typically use the TriChorus or the TonePrint. Maybe it's just me, but I have a difficult time getting the standard mode to sound right to me, unless I run the clean channel. That's no knock against the SCF setting, it's simply a matter of what you like.

At first I kind of thought that maybe the TonePrint concept was a bit gimmicky and possibly inconvenient to use, but the "beam" feature in the ipod app makes it so I can just leave the pedal on the board while I change my settings around.
Now, I will admit that I was originally looking for an analog chorus pedal, but the sound that comes out of this thing is ridiculous. I had tried it out at a shop and liked it a lot even with a junky amp. It sounds absolutely monstrous through my DSL100.

The construction of the pedal is nice and hefty, and the paint seems durable. I kinda dropped it on a Terrazzo floor when I first pulled it out of the package.. and there aren't any scratches. This little guy was eager to go to war and survived... so I gave it a 10.
The price seemed a little steep until I brought it home and put it in the effects loop of the Marshall... it's worth every penny.

Bought a level 2 used unit. Arrived looking great, but the sound kinda was not so good...the tone control did nothing, except when rotated CC turned off the chorus effect. I found that switching among the chorus options (toneprint, etc) yielded nothing all that different. Maybe a bad unit, who knows?...but I returned it...and did not get another...Back to my Boss chorus and the search for the perfect chorus....which BTW is my Moog clusterflux, but that is way too big to take on a gig!

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a well made, great sounding chorus. I've used the Boss chorus for years, and decided to try something different just to see if I could get more 'depth' in the sound. This thing is so much richer sounding than the Boss, in my opinion. The Boss is a good chorus, I just feel this one is hands down a better sounding pedal. Haven't tried the tone print feature. Have seen videos of it on you tube and it looks pretty neat.
still playing around with it, but seems very versatile.
very well made.
Seems pricey, but then again everything seems that way to me. Still, can't beat the sound. TC Electronics does include a battery with the unit.

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I was looking for a chorus for a friend. He wanted a clean good sounding pedal. I ran across the TC Electronics demo's on Youtube. I was very impressed with the tones. In fact, I found that my boutique pedal had a lot more coarse sound and it changed the overall demeanor of my tone. It almost compressed the guitar's tone and made it sound nasal. In contrast, the Corona added to the original tone in a positive way and can be used in a very subtle manner or with extremely detuned effect. I love the Leslie style tones I get with it all the way down to just a nuance of effect. It has a huge range of very musical tones that can be used. It can be run either mono or stereo. Also, the Tone Print feature is quite cool. I've been so busy exploring my own tones that I haven't gotten that far, yet. The pedal is very well made and has a true bypass switch. It also takes up far less real estate on my pedal board. TC Electronics did this one right, and I'm curious to look into other pedals in this series.

Higly Recommended Chorus

By RedneckJunky

from Columbia, MO

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I love the Corona chorus pedal. My tone is almost completely transparent, yet the chorus effect comes through as much as I want. The clean sound is articulate, and with heavy distortion the effect enhances but does not "take over" the tone. In comparison, my Boss CH-1 has great sounding effects but buffers the tone so heavily that it sounds like there's a blanket over my amp.

Excellent Chorus that doesn't mess with my tone!

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

Excellent pedal that does exactly what I need. I can get a clean-sweetening shimmer or I can go to Mars with alien sounds. It doesn't mess with my tone that I worked hard to craft and I know I don't have to worry about stomping on it show after show.
If you have a sound in your head that needs a chorus, this pedal can find it, the knobs are easy to use to dial in the sound you want. I use a Dean From Hell primarily and even though it's a fairly dark guitar, it makes the Bill Lawrence shimmer on my Peavey Triple XXX's clean channel, and I can nail Within Temptation's "Faster" intro sound perfectly with this pedal. Haven't tried out Toneprint because I have the sounds I want already.
It is a solid little pedal, feels very tough, and it's true bypass, what more could you want? Also at church where I play, the lead guitarist (who has a pedalboard the size of my desk and plays a very expensive PRS) compliments me on how nice the chorus sounds.
I'm extremely stingy with my money, but after seeing the demo the company did of the pedal, I took a chance and I'm very glad I did. There's cheaper chorus pedals out there, but man this one is made to last a lifetime. Never had a problem. EVER. And I'm a TC Electronic fan for life now.

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

Replaced my Boss chorus with this. Blows the Boss away, so much easier to dial in the sound I'm looking for and has a very distinctive sound, clean or with other pedals or just natural over-drive with tube powered amps. Really happy I made the move. Boss makes dependable pedals but dialing in the sound takes more effort than I am weilling to give any more. This is so much easier and in my opinion delivers superior souonding chorus settings. Much more sparkle if that's what you're after and/or much fuller, more lucious sounding.

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal is overall one of the finest pedals I have purchased in this price range. To be honest, I would have payed more for this pedal. It sounds that good!
One of the nicest chorus sounds I have heard coming from a stomp box. The tone print function works great and allowes for upload of some of your favorie artists right from the T.C. site. The standard chorus mode gives great swirling chorus sounds that have there own touch but are reminiscent of many of the classic chorus tones you may have come to known over the years. The tri chrorus mode has a compleat different sound of its own. This mode really gives the guitar an almost 3d quality. simply amazing sounds! The other feature that gives this pedal its own vibe is the tone conrol. This allows you to brighten or warm up the overall sound of the tone. Very handy to get that shimmering chorus sound.
Built like a tank. I have been giging with this pedal for a few months now and still works like a champ. I gig near 200 shows a year.
You would be hard pressed to find a chorus pedal that offers this much for this price and sounds as good as this one does.

This pedal was easily worth the money

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I love this pedal and anticipate it being part of my rig for a long time.
I was using a MXR Micro Chrous in the effects loop of my Mark IV and it sounded great, but I found it too intense for dirty tones and only controllable parameter is speed. Enter the TC Corona Chrous. This pedal had enough controllability to achieve a setting that sounded great with cleans as well as dirty tones. I have not tried it in stereo, but it sure sounded nice in my basic mono setup. I actually found my setting using the Paul Gilbert downloadable tone print. Really warm chorus which caught me by surprise because it is a digital pedal.
It's a metal casing. Looks fabtastic... green with white knobs. bypass switch works and does not cause any sudible pops.
It is not cheap, but it sounds like it should cost more than it does. It is less expensixe than a comparable unit like the MXR stereo chrous.

Comments about TC Electronic Corona Chorus TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

Been playing 20 + years. Tried tons of chorus pedals.

These are JUNK unless you only play in the lower notes. Tried a few of these and the gravy tri chorus and they all make funny sounds when playing in the high notes.

      Total garbage.

If you're young and have only heard digital chorus your whole life then you might be ok. If you know what a good chorus sounds like then you dont want this.

Too bad because everyone recommended this to me and it does sound good for rhythems but not leads up high.

Cant believe no one else noticed this problem. TC shouldnt even be making this garbage.

It sounds like a 20 do11ar plastic pedal

I bought this pedal like 2 months ago now, and I cannot be any happier. It has a lot of cool unique features you won't get on any other chorus pedal, like tone prints and trichorus. It's quite easy to use, also. It's perfect from all kind of playing styles, and produces awesome sounds when combined with other pedals like delays, etc. A must have on your pedalboard.
