This is a very, very cool pedal, and I think solely as a delay, the Flashback stands out far beyond it's competitors in this price range. What's sad is that TC had the opportunity to create something truly amazing, but I think they missed it with a couple of the features. The looper is a huge disappointment. 40s of loop time is bigger than the DL4 and the EHX Hazarai, both of which cost more than the flashback, but it's looper is incredibly impractical. There is no way to adjust the loop volume against whatever you're playing over it. Turn the FX knob down, and EVERYTHING gets quieter (and vice versa). It's functional, but not versatile at all and way harder to use than it could have been. The other thing that is kind of a letdown is the inability to do sound-on-sound oscillation. I don't know anyone who does that very frequently, but nevertheless it's one of the things that can make delay pedals cool. Overall, this pedal completely outshines most of the other digital delays in it's price range (certainly the DD-7 for a little less), and comes close to the category of things like the DL4, DD-20, and Nova Repeater. The only things separating it from the more expensive digital delays are the sound quality and the ability to save and load presets. The Flashback isn't the game changer it could have been, but it's a great delay for the price.
True bypass, stereo, audio tapping, dotted rhythms, big delay time, and lots of different modes at your disposal. The looper is a big letdown, and it's sad that you can't do sound-on-sound oscillation.
Haven't used it long enough to really see what the build quality is like. If you're expecting anything close to the quality of true analog delay, you'll be disappointed by the sound of this pedal. As digital delays go, it's satisfactory.
Even with the looping drawback, the Flashback still has an enormous number of features for the price.

Last time I buy TC. I think they have quality control problems. And really don't care to find out what's wrong.

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a really nice digital delay kind of a Swiss knife, however it has some problems. The looper is nearly useless and the tone print software is not ready for prime time. The tone print interface does not fit on Windows 7 computers and you can't access all the functions. Maybe it's me but I can't get the looper to end correctly. It works but there is a gap at the end. My DD7 does not do this. The delay is exceptional so it's a keeper but TC should do a better job of quality control.

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've had a hard time finding that elusive lead tone that one searches for for a long time. Not any more. I am using this with my Blackstar HT Club 40, a Boss Metal Core thru the front of the amp, (level and distortion at about 11 o'clock-low) and the TC Flashback thru the effects loop, dialed in a setting with the Tape delay, and boom, the lead tone dreams are made of. Today I set up the Toneprint, very easy, and downloaded the John Petrucci, Mountain Lead setting, just an awesome lead sound as well, and there are so many others that I will be trying eventually. The 2290 is a great classic delay like it is known and along with all the other settings this is a very nice pedal. If you are searching for a delay pedal....buy this one. You will not be disappointed.

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've owned a lot of delays in my years of playing, even the Echoplex back in the sixties. It is hard to put into words how good this Flashback pedal sounds. Rich, deep, euphoric, celestial, Rockabilly. I've owned the Boss Analog delay and have the DD20 Giga Delay and never could find the sound that was floating around in my head until I got this Flashback pedal. Genuine delay/echo and totally transparent. And to be able to download presets via an iPhone into the pedal is fantastic. I would recommend this pedal highly. Worth 2 or 3 times the money. Great deal on MF and free shipping. Love it.

This thing is so cool. More variety than I ever really needed but it is awesome to have. So many sounds from a little slapback to full on psychedelic madness the different modes are nice. I tend to stick with lo-fi, analog and mod and a few of the toneprints as well. Very cool feature.

Don't get this if you need a looper it's a little bit on the weak side and you can't use it for all your fun delay effects either.

      So cool. Get one.

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is the best small footprint delay pedal I have found. To the point- I needed a tap tempo delay with a dotted 1/8 note in the smallest foot print I could get for my pedal board. The greatest thing it does is hold the stomp button for 2 seconds and strum the tempo on your guitar and you have tapped you tempo in. I do a lot of U2'ish delay work for my church and this alone sold the Flashback to me. Great sound quality plus 10 different delays! They all sound good in their own ways. There is a generic looper that gives you 40 secsonds of stereo looping. No loop playback volume control so use your volume wisely when looping. I got it discounted and I am very impressed with it. this is my first TC Elec. prduct and I will consider them for future pedals

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

What an awesome pedal! Sure it's a tad pricey but you definitely get what you pay for: a reliable and gorgeous sounding array of delay effects - all in one stomp box. I almost bought the carbon copy because at first all I wanted was a straightforward delay. Really glad I decided on this though. Not only is the analog amazing, but the tape sound is really lush too.

Recently, though, I've become enamored with the Mod delay. I set the feedback at 2-3 o'clock, level up fairly high and the switch all the way down. Then use my volume knob to swell in some beautiful chords. Instant eargasm! With the right set up it almost sounds like some kind of galactic orchestra!

Havent messed with the toneprint function, but kudos to TC for putting it on there. It theoretically makes the FB limitless. Apparently there are some killer sounds to choose from online.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Flashback. So many good sounds to be had, and even more with toneprint. True bypass switching for those of us with high end amplifiers. And even a little looper that occasionally serves its purpose. They've left nothing out!

Comments about TC Electronic Flashback Delay TonePrint Series Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is a great pedal. The sound quality is great but the one thing I will say that it's definitely not plug and play. You can get great tones right out of the box but to utilize it fully, you need to spend some time with it. Also, the toneprint transfer doesn't work all that great if you have a Windows OS PC. It seems as if TC is slowly transitioning the whole toneprint software for smartphone usage and Apple centric products. But overall, yes, this is a great pedal. The sheer number of delays are worth the price. It also has a looper and that's a great feature to have.
