    TC Electronic

Great sound, simple to use, and more features than any other pedal at this price.

TC Electronic's Nova Repeater is a 'no-frills-with-a-sound-that-kills' delay pedal. It's perfect for guitarists who want instant and unique results, without the fuss. It features the same great sound quality that made the Nova Delay the first choice delay pedal for Paul Gilbert, Doug Aldrich, Nils Lofgren, and Allen Hinds. However, after listening to the guitar-playing community TC Electronic trimmed out the excess baggage while also including additional features over the Nova Delay, and designed it all behind a streamlined and easy-to-use interface.

Nova Repeater is all about simplicity. There are no hidden features or complicated functions—you just get awesome delays in an affordable and easy-to-use guitar pedal. Yet it is also feature-rich being the only pedal in its price range that has a dedicated tap tempo switch and amazing audio tapping technology that lets you set the tempo with your playing. And with 6 types of TC-quality delays and an unsurpassed feature-set Nova Repeater is quite simply a bargain.

Nova Repeater has 3 delay time ranges labeled for both min, mid, and max positions. These delay times have been carefully chosen to match the sweet-spot times used by most guitar players, making it much easier for you to dial in the perfect delay time—even without a display.

The TC Electronic delay pedal features 2 inputs dedicated to instrument or line level signals which means you can use it equally well in front of your amp or in an effects loop. It also has a 'KillDry' switch that makes it possible to use the pedal in a parallel effect loop and is also great for guitar players who use a mixer to prevent their dry sound from being processed. An FX.level pot lets you adjust the wet level of your signal which means that you won't get annoying level drops on your dry sound—a common problem with other guitar effect pedals.

The TC Electronic Nova Repeater has a multifunction knob that lets you control the amount of modulation as well as turn the effect on/off. The chorus has been retuned making more dramatic modulation effects possible, and a vibrato mode has been added. This was a major request among Nova Delay users and makes it possible to emulate classic tape delay wow-and-flutter or create lush modulated pads with a volume pedal.

Again, taking on numerous user requests, TC Electronic added a dual delay—1/4 and 1/8 notes. This stereo delay is the secret behind Steve Lukather 80's sound—just make sure you set the delay time at exactly 400ms.

This TC Electronic effect pedal also features an adaptive dynamic delay that automatically sets the perfect threshold for the ducking. No calibration is needed—even if you decide to turn up the volume during a solo, Nova Repeater will automatically adjust the threshold on-the-fly.

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've been using this delay pedal for about 2 years because the worship director at my church bought it for the lead guitarist to use. I have been able to get sounds ranging from the simplest slapback delays to delays that imitate tremolo picking. Bottom line, it's the best deal for a delay pedal out there on the market, and I will always use this pedal.

Best Delay I Have Ever Used

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Not only best bang for buck delay on the market, but you can customize your delay sounds even more than you can with the Line 6 DL4. If you need a delay, don't waste your time with overspending on anything else or getting a pedal that's only $50 cheaper and doesn't do even 20% of what this pedal does. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. It's the perfect delay pedal. Small footprint, incredible range of sounds, best value, etc etc etc...

If you want a delay, do this.

      Awesome Delay

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Like I said I own TC Helicon Voice Tone Correct Vocal Pedal.
I have had it for 2 years and no problems!
I am very happy with this delay; I had been looking for a long time to get a delay.
With much research and waiting for the right one I found this delay.
      I paid $162.55 after tax.
I have been playing Bass for 34 years and never used any effects.
When I started playing with my Lead Guitar player Leonardo Capello, he said try using effects.
So my first effect was Unicorus made by EBS. I love this one!
When we recorded our first Album I used a Delay, it was a waves. It is a computer effect.
So I needed a delay to do the same that was on the Album.
This delay does just what I need it to do.
I also play guitar, and sing and I order one of TC Helicon Voice Tone Correct Vocal Pedal.
I love it too. It is made by the same company.
It was not a hard decision to get it!
The band I play with is called KTTK.
      Our website is: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/kttk/id397051505
It is very well made, it is not plastic!
      I paid $162.55 after tax.
      Now it is $199.00

      Very nice delay

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I really like this pedal. The features allow me to bring out exactly the type of delay I want, as well as provide me with other fun settings to try out. The sounds are great - no complaints with the sound at all.

I was originally planning on spending under $100 for a delay, but I went for this one because it had a chorus effect. I wasn't planning on using the effect enough to buy a chorus pedal, so I figured I'd get a top notch delay with a crappy chorus on it. The effect is pretty much as you expect it to be, underwhelming, but it's more to add flavour to a delay than overtake your tone.

Overall, I don't think you can get better than this delay. If you're looking for one, seriously consider the Nova Repeater.
This thing is jam packed with useful features. The tweaking you can do is almost endless. You can set delay time using 3 different ways (knob, tap tempo, playing notes) and adjust tone, loudness of the delay and repeats. You can customize from a loud prominent delay, to a subtle delay with just a few turns of the knob.

The different delay types are all great as well as setting the type of delay (full note, quarter note, combinations) are really fun to play around with.

The vibrato/chorus option is nice, but not very good.
Input jacks, switches, knobs, and buttons all feel well made. Casing feels solid, I'd be surprised if this thing broke down.
The features and sounds out of this thing are amazing for the price. No ifs ands or buts.

The Best Delay On The Market, Period.

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Were mine to break, I would IMMEDIATELY buy another. It isn't a little brother to the Nova Delay, as much as it is a streamlined, and quite simply, a better pedal. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with my purchase.
The features you get on a pedal in this price range is unreal, and the fact that it's also a FANTASTIC pedal to boot make this a steal. The delays are all well made and fantastically tweakable (the dynamic delay seems a bit useless, but I suppose that's just my opinion), and the subdivisions are all amazing. The KillDry switch, which takes your dry signal out of the mix and only plays the delayed signal when the pedal is engaged, has actually been a cool way to use the reverse delay: set a slow, dreamy vibe, knock out the dry signal, and boom, you've got magic. This is one of the only pedals that stays engaged at all times; the quiter delay times thicken my tone in a most delicious way.
This thing feels like a tank. Aside from a baseball bat to the front, I don't see this thing breaking. The switches are responsive and easy to hit with my feet, and setting a tempo is quick and easy.
A pedal at this price usually doesn't come with so many USEFUL features. It's a breath of fresh air to have a quality made pedal that does something so well on my board.

Nova repeater - great pedal for the bucks

      By Tom Demask

      from Illinois

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Great pedal. Works just fine on my 9volt 1Spot supply shared with other pedals. TC says you get slightly better headroom with the included 12 volt supply, but I think the headroom is fine with 9 volts. I give at a 9 instead of 10 because I wish it had a separate speed control for the chorus/vibrato modulation settings. Rotating the mod know both increases depth and speed, so if you want a slow chorus with a lot of depth, you are out of luck. Still, that is a minor quibble in a pedal at this price range.
The Nova Repeater has everything I want in a delay pedal, feature-wise. Tap tempo, variable modulation, switchable syncopated beats (dotted 8ths, triplets, etc), dual delays (quarter plus 8ths, etc), stereo outputs, and tone control for the repeats. It's an unbeatable feature set for the money. It almost seems like you could use this pedal to create toneprint presets for the new Flashback.
Build quality seems very good. I personally like the quiet non-true-bypass footswitches. Controls all work nicely. The pedal is dead quiet and sounds great in stereo and mono modes, with or without modulation.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find an equally featured delay that sounds as good as this one. It is made in Thailand, alas, but I'm sure that is why it is so good for so little money. I would have purchased the Tech 21 Boost DLA (made in USA), but I really wanted multiple repeats and stereo outputs. The Flashback seems nice too, but I'd rather have control over the settings instead of just choosing from different presets. Would prefer a Strymon El Capistan, but at over twice what I paid for this I couldn't justify it.

      blows the other delays away!

      By dd

      from Dallas

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

The only things I can say negative is I wish there was at least 1 place to save a pre-set and the chorus sounds a little funky. besides this, it was worth every penny
I have owned SEVERAL delays, but was never fully satisfied until I came across this bad boy. I've owned a echo park, DL4, dd-3, dd-5, dd-6, dd-7, visual sound h20, and a couple multi effect units. I have also tried several delays. I actually never payed tc electronics any mind until I came across their multi effects unit called nova system. the delay on it impressed me so I tried this pedal out and was blown away.
The reason why I like this delay more than any other is 1st off the simplicity of it. This thing is very self explanatory, and every button on it is convenient. There is not one button or feature that is confusing or irritating.
2nd off, it sounds incredible! I have messed with each delay setting for hours and absolutely love them all! each one has its place, but this pedal wasn't just thrown together just to add features and sell. You can tell that each delay had lots of time and thought spent on it. I don't feel like there's any delay type on this pedal that was just an "add-on".
3rdly, this pedal has features that I have yet to see on other delays such as the auto tempo, and dynamic.

Versatile delay for a great price.

      By Buket

      from Portland, OR

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I was in the market for a delay unit that could do all kinds of things, sound good doing them and was easy to use. The Nova Repeater is that delay. You can easily select between delay times and fine tune everything to your preference. The different modes are terrific, and each have a distinct sound.I wanted a reverse delay and this one is pretty solid. It's not as long as I would like, but it's long enough for anyone looking for this as an added feature without having to buy a reverse delay on its own.The switches are quiet and don't bleed into the sound. The Tap Tempo is great and the Audio Tempo follower feature is amazingly useful. Just play or route in a beat and the delay will follow that tempo. Overall: for the price I haven't found anything better.

      Nearly flawless

      By Wardy

      from Albuquerque, NM

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

I'm really glad I happened to stumble across this thing. Every setting is useful, with the analog being my favorite setting. The modulation knob is more useful than I expected it to be. The chorus setting is really noisy, but the vibrato with the tape setting gives you some crazy sounds. The tone knob is something I didn't think I'd like, but I do. The reverse setting is the main reason I wanted it, and it lives up to my expectation. Having the external tap tempo switch is a must. I hate having to hold down pedals for tap tempo. I don't find any use for the KillDry feature. Having the trail button on the exterior is another nice feature that I don't understand why others don't implement. It's a 12V unit, but my 9V daisy chain powers it without any issue. My only complaint, albeit minor, is that you can't get the crazy oscillations as the delay times are in compact ranges, so no turning the knob from 1000ms to 100ms. My network of guitar friends all agree that this is the best bargain out there in the delay world.

No competition in this price range

      By BaseOfAce

      from Detroit

Comments about TC Electronic Nova Repeater Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is the best delay in this price range, period. And better than many more expensive boxes. Has all the features you want and none you don't. Does not suck any tone out of my LP. Well built. Comes with external power brick but I run it off a Cioks AC10, (9v@300mA) no problem. Brick is 110-240v for those who travel. I will definitely buy another if this one fails.
