Classic power metal, ultra-tight thrash or totally unleashed power, this pedal is your ultimate one-stop station for all things heavy.
The TC Electronic Röttweiler Distortion guitar effects pedal delivers an unparalleled sound that will inspire you to be shredding and riffing for days. In fact, Röttweiler Distortion has been designed specifically to capture the tone and feel of raw power that only a high-gain tube amp used to be able to deliver. The all-analog design features a unique distortion circuit based on soft clipping – just like real tube amps – which gives you an extremely authentic response and tone. Now, you can get that bone-crushing sound through virtually any amp by hooking up a Röttweiler Distortion.
Röttweiler Distortion is voiced to burn through any mix. A classic stompbox problem in this hardcore setting is a tendency to get lost in the mix. Röttweiler Distortion has been designed with live performances in mind – not just for home practicing, so you’ll never get lost in the mix!
Whether your ideal is power metal or tight-chugging thrash, the TC Electronic Röttweiler guitar effects pedal will deliver at the flick of a switch. The ‘Voice’ toggle switch allows you to choose between two midrange voicings that will take you from classic hard rock to full-on death metal instantly. Also, the two tone controls, Treble and Bass, let you fine-tune your guitar tone to whatever you need in a matter of seconds.

Comments about TC Electronic Rottweiler Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal:
My first impression was that it was too bright and too compressed. It has a lot of gain, taking you from clean to modern gain/ lead instantly. Also its not very noisy which is great. I can't stand a lot of hiss from high gain if you know what I mean. Also true bypass really is TRUE BYPASS. No signal coloring when turned off. SWEET! Compared to my older stomp boxes which are buffered. I had to play around with its eq for days until I found the sound, and then I had to change the sweet spot on my amp to get the overall tone I was looking for and it paid off! Super Heavy. The headphone sound is different from the cab sound tho. The cab sound is a lot heavier so don't be fooled at first if you play with headphones a lot like I do. It really shines at loud volumes and does respond like a tube amp with light or heavy pick attacks. I would have liked a mid tone control but it still does the job. Very good pedal for the money.
