I've ended my search after playing through them all!- the T-Rex is comparable but the TC still rules! Notice that you will not find a negative review (yeah someone said that they thought the chorus was "metallic sounding"- that is BS- it sounds hands down better than even the original Roland Jazz Chorus amps (Roland invented the chorus effect in the late 1960's- in-fact I own two JC 90's and use this pedal to separate them- AWESOME effect let me assure you!)- Believe me, you will dump all of the chorus/flanger units currently living on your pedal board or in your gig bag into the dumpster- once you hear what this thing is capable of doing to your rig's sound- Combine it with TC Electronics's sister pedal the totally awesome sounding VPD-1 (Vintage Pre-Drive pedal) and you will wonder how you ever got along without them. I say get both of these pedals and you will never go back to what you use now!- trust me!- Ive been playing electric guitars since 1971 so I think I'm qualified to make the call here with at the very least some proven authority on the subject. These pedals are in a league by themselves- yes they are spendy, but they sound as good as rack units costing four times as much and have more options built in to them for sound tweaking than a few of those- Don't hesitate here!- just buy this thing and once you use it you'll agree that it was the best dammed money that you have dropped on your gear pile in a long long time- if not ever! NO FEAR!

    Master Chorus for Bass

The best there is. I use this unit for the Bass with a little delay. Clean, noise free. The sound and effects are pristine. I recommend this pedal over any other.

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

I'm a big fan of TC Electronics. I bought this unit figuring I could get a subtle and cool effect on my guitar for live performance. Got it, I'm happy. (If you spin the knobs differently it can have a less subtle effect, if that's what you want - but that's not what I'm after.) What I didn't realize is that it would sound absolutely AMAZING when used for recording. It's the stereo output, WOW!

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

This pedal brings to the musician all you can expect from a Chorus stomp box: Crystal clear tones, lots of harmonics and it adds (if you use it just behind/before your effects) a very special bright enhancement to the "clear" tone of your guitar. Specially if you're using a Strat with the arm pick up.
You can hear what it can do listening Eric Johnson records. It's always there, at the "clear" parts of the songs.
It gives that small cascading effect, just enough to turn the highs and lows a little bit more sharp and clear.
It's a pricey pedal, but it's worth every single cent.
        Enjoy!
P.S. The Flanger is also great!

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

Extremely Quiet, Extremely Clean, I heard it was the best and it took me until I was 52 years old to be able to afford it. If tone matters to you, it is worth it. Beware, your bandmates may become unhappy with their chorus sound and want to try yours.

            great little unit

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

very simple setup and is very clean. provides great clean tones to two amps and which sound super together. controls are accurate. no hums, no noise, just great clean chorus sounds. what else would you want.
does exactly what it's supposed to do.
very solid housing. the toggle switch is a bit delicate, but seems to work.
            absolutely worth the bucks.

TC Electronics SCF pedal is worth every penny!

            By h2otorched

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

I own the TC Electronics SCF Stereo Chorus Flanger. I'm very happy with it, great design, built to last, and the SCFis perfect in the studio, very quiet. I play acoustic fingerstyle using a Martin D-28 Clarence White model. There are 2Acoustic Lens sensors inside, coupled with a Sunrise Mag.pup. That gets run thru a Pendulum SPS-1, out to 2 Ultra-sound amps. The TC SCF pedal will add beautiful subtletiesto your sound. It has three modes: chorus, flanger, and pitch modulation. I mostly use the pitch modulation mode.It has a built in power supply, no ' wall wart ', and the smallmanual is well written and easy to get lush sounds out of the SCF pedal right out of the box. It's made in Denmark, by people who know what they're doing! The TC ElectronicSCF pedal is worth every penny!

            Wow! This *the* chorus pedal!

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

I've owned many chorus pedals, including modified Boss Japan CE-2s, but this T.C. Electronic unit is exactly as the others have described it - subtle, organic and very versatile. My search for the "perfect" chorus is over, as I've found something with range, low noise, the "killer" 80's sound of a Boss CE pedal, but able to dial it down, if needed, to a more subtle effect thanks to the mix. This really must be "the" perfect chorus pedal! It may seem pricey - but it is awesome! My search is over!!!

            Great effect but beware...

            By Anonymous

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

Bought one of these in 1999 and absolutely loved it but be careful; the bypass switch on this is very sensitive and prone to breaking if you step on it too hard. I don't know if that's what I did with mine but it was an obvious problem from the start and suddenly mine stopped working after continuous use only about a year and a half later. EXCELLENT effect and sound but really brittle design so just go easy on it.

            buy it

            By Gumbilicious

            from Newport News, VA

Comments about TC Electronic Stereo Chorus Flanger:

I bought this originally because I had seen someone use it live and it sounded amazing. When I bought it I was actually a little put off, it wasn't DRAMATIC and crazy, it was subtle compared to other chorus and flangers I tried. Any disappointment was soon forgotten as I started really playing with it, it hides nothing and lets tone through. Where I really fell in love with this thing is recording, it is invaluable, you can put just a touch of effect on track and it sounds more organic and will seperate tracks in a mix without having to do crazy things. Now whenever I play someone elses chorus pedal or their flanger I just cringe and wonder how they use something so distasteful(my roomate had a vintage boss CE-1 and a '78 or so electric mistress and this thing just buries them as far as useable tone goes imho). If your tired of being dissapointed or screwing around with subpar modular effects pedals, then just save some time, spend some money, and get this thing.
