The tones are superior on this box with good clean chime and killer overdrive gain (all you could want). Very musical. It nails the Vox sound too. I use it as a stomp box on my petal board along with a Wampler Plexi drive and Fulltone Phat boost. Kinda gives me a good variety of OD flavors. The controls are very sensitive on the tech. So it takes a bit dime it in, but it's worth it. Especially the "on the edge" semi clean chime. Glorious.

Gets various vox sounds direct to my soundcard. I just add a bit of reverb or a room IR to the recorded track and it sounds great. Excellent for Beatles, queen, and general British rock.

Overall the V-2 is great at helping you find some of those British sounds of the 60's. The controls are placed for easy adjusting, and the labels are easily read. But as Ringo says, It don't come easy. By that I mean you will need to invest some time to find the sound you want. The controls, while very effective, are also rather sensitive and small adjustments can produce some fairly significant sound differences--though that is part of its design. Still, if you put some time into finding your sounds and sweet spots, you'll find the V-2 at your feet a lot. It's a solid pedal.
I give the Series Liverpool V2 high marks because it truly captures the essence of the 60's.
While rather simple in appearence, the V-2 is built like a tank on the exterior. The electronics are solidly installed and have held up well to some rough garage practicing and gigging.
Well, it ain't cheap, but then it ain't plastic either. I'd say it's a good value but remember it just does what it's advertised to do, shape the sound.

The tweakability of this pedal is extreme. A small knob change an result in a big tone change.
However, the results are very musical and usable.
You can go from clean 60's tone to the verge of breakup to heavy crunch.
Plus I can place it on my pedalboard and basically have a great sounding backup amp through the PA if my main amp has an issue.
Solid, simple and reliable.
This pedal includes many features and adjustments that make it a flexible plaform for the ampless player, recording musician or can deliver more flavor for your pedalboard.
