Well as I said above I do love the amp. I pretty much covered everything I like about it and I don't need to elaborate any more about it. But if they ever make ( read this tech 21 ppl ) a 50 watt 1x12 model of this amp, I'm gonna grab it! To sum up everything I just don't think you could go wrong buying this amp.
I have wanted one of these for quite a while, so I thought I'd better get one b4 they discontinue them or something.
This amp has a really great tone to it no matter how you configure it. All the different ways you can set it up for different amp sounds are very distinct, not like some other amp brands that claim to be able to do things they can't. This amp really is what it claims to be. For those of you who are wondering if this amp will get mean and dirty, it will! If you want the clean fender sound it can do it. Also if you like classic rock sound and tone it can do that too and last but not least if you want the hi gain Mesa Boogie tone yep you can get it. You can play live with this amp and it will be loud enough. A lot of the younger players that really play loud live won't like it, but if you are an older player like me and play old classic rock and rock hits from the 60's and 70's and are used to playing in a much more quiet setting it will do fine.
Well to me this is the best thing since sliced bread. It is so lite, it's perfect to carry around. I can get the sounds I want from it, oh and it has tons of reverb which suits me fine and that is all that is needed if you are a plug straight in and play fellow like I am. I guess it's easy to tell that I love this amp and I'll never part with it!

At first I liked this unit but, then I became aware of the overall high compression on this thing that makes it sound a bit muddy in both clean and distorted modes - like it's trying to be too warm and makes the bass attack give a little too much. Still, if you crank the treble you can get around it a bit. My unit intermittantly cuts out too - very intermittantly with no rhyme or reason. A bit overpriced for what you get. My advice would be to lower the compression level and it would sound better. Also, this unit needs a 12" speaker - the 10" doesn't cut it for even a small band rehearsal.

Comments about Tech 21 Trademark 30 30W Guitar Combo/DI Amplifer:
I use this for practice and performance with any of the guitars I own. It performs equally with acoustic 6 or 12 string as well as with an archtop or solid body. The variety of tones that can be had are phenomenal. At 14 pounds this is a pleasure to tote around to gigs. Guys lugging around those 65 pound Fender Twins are amazed at the performance of this unit.I use this on a tilted stand as my onstage instrument monitor and use the out to go to the board. The absence of chorus modeling is easily made up for with stompboxes.

Great little amp, just disappointing that I had to pull the reverb out and finishe the assembly for Tech 21 and Accutronics. A small thing, true, but it diminished my appreciation of my new amp.
Simple - 30w, 10" speaker, active tone shaping controls.
Overall, the quality is good, but I found my reverb was not working from the start. I pulled out the revel unit to cjheck for a loose wire, and I found none of the wires from the in/out jacks were attached to the springs. They were not even stripped for connection to the spring unit. This amp could not have passed quality control with an unwired reverb unit. This kind of disappoints me...
Great tone, a now working reverb and plenty of volume. Overall, a very good value.

The amps in my stable have names like Fender, Marshall, Orange, Genz-Benz and ....Tech 21. Recently at a jam session at my place, one of my friends got brave and decided to take the little Tech 21 for a spin...he was floored by the performance. I've had this little amp for 6 years now and I'm still amazed every time I plug into it. With a flip of the character switches takes you from vintage Fender, to snarling Marshall to a Boogie sound that just sings. The reverb is as good as you will find on any of the heavyweight amps on the market and, the DI makes this little guy a dream in the studio.

I bought this about a year ago. I love it!!! Every guitar I play through it sounds great! Whether it's a Les Paul, Strat, Tele, or PRS, it just sounds great. I really want to try out one of the 60 watt ones.

A collection of high quality tube amps in a rather diminutive package. Don't let the size fool you because this amplifier is a BEAST! Drawbacks/features:1) May not be loud enough for a full rock band situation, but that is what the outs are for (and they sound amazing).2) No channel switching. For me, this is a feature because I spend more time playing and less time screwing with sounds. 3) Does not sound digital in any way. It sounds like hot glass... flat toneless digital harshness has it's place in the music of today, but for me that place isn't in a general purpose recording amp for me.4) Breakup... wonderful tube breakup.5) Takes pedals very well just like a tube amp. 6) Curb weight... 14 lbs. incredible. If you are just starting out and love classic tube sound or you already own fantastic tube amps but are tired of lugging them around - your search is over. Save yourself the time and disappointment and get this amp. This is quite possibly the most satisfying purchase I have ever made.

You cannot beat this combo for the money. The guys at Tech 21 are great and their products are even better. For practicing at home or for playing small bar/club gigs with PA, this is fantastic. This is a easy and fun system to play.

If you are familiar with the sansamp GT2, then you can easily understand this thing. You could buy a GT2, hardwire a balanced XLR output, a (real)30 watt amp, put it in a box with a 10" speaker, or you could by this thing. It sounds great and it's easy to use. You can get most any classic guitar tone from it and switching between tones is fast, but not instantaneous. It has no provisions for instant channel switching. So if you need to switch sounds instantly on-the-fly for your live gigs, you might want to check out one of the other models. Personally, I find that for most sessions, channel switching is seldom needed, nor is it necessary for live Jazz gigs. Either way, you can solve that problem with an effects pedal or a different amp. I just love this thing. It's light, compact and is plenty loud enough for sessions, Jazz gigs and rehearsals. The price seems very fair, considering that this is American Made. It is assembled in New Jersey, though I think some of the components come from abroad. (Nowadays, what doesn't?) All the sansamp / tech 21 stuff I've used works great, and sounds great. This little beauty is no exception.

I really love this Amp. It is 100% analog and yet it can sound like different amps, different speakers, & different gain levels. It has a 10" speaker that can bow you away with volume.. I was originally worried about not having a 12" speaker: this amp sounds loud & I love the speaker Voicing. The amp is also made in the U.S.A.!
