I picked up this modeler not expecting a lot out of it...and wasnt really impressed with the factory settings...but spend some time tweaking and storing your own sounds and you will be pleased. I play boss effects pedals and wanted to try out a processor just out of curiosity and was very pleased with this buy. Amp selection adds nice definition to my 300w halfstack as well as 100w combo. This is plenty of bang for your buck if you dont wanna spend *** bucks on a bass pod.
This is my first "multi" type pedal array, and so far, I like it a lot. I am used to the analog stuff, so this is all new to me. The directions are somewhat clear in the manuel, but I don't find much that is intuitive about it so far. What I do not like about it is that it is assembled in China.(nothing against the people; the trade deficit sucks). Also, that the construction is plastic through and through. Even the pedal. It will come in very handy for my home recording set-up, and I will be experimenting using it with my guitars as well. Whether it is modeling the amps true to the originals, I have no idea, but the tones it gets are varied and solid. The effects are not bad either, although the octave function breaks up at the extremes of my 6 string bass. But for 99 bucks, it is hard to go wrong. I do not think it would hold up well for live work, but who knows, I am often wrong. It should come with it's own power supply. Give it a try, you can always send it back. A great tool for experimental bassists.
this pedal is ok, with the compression on and slap ambience slap n pop sounds beautiful, could have a few distortion types...
