Comments about Trace Elliot 1028H 2x10" 400W Bass Cabinet:
I have had 3 of these for 3/4 of a year now and I am amazed that I am the first to review. I purchased these as full range speakers to use on our church stage during Sunday Worship. I have played my Warwick Thumb bass through these with a QSC 1850 HD and my Line 6 POD X3 PRO which has excelent Bass Pres in it along with guitar and vocal presets. These cabinets are amazing in that I also have a wonderful SWR Goliath III with 4 10s and these keep up with that. Rich deep clear lows. Excelent mids and fantastic higs. I have played my Roland TD 20 TDW 20 V drums through them and my PRS Custom 22 all with the QSC The Roland has it's own pre so I did not use the POD for that but my bass and guitar through the POD. What a fantastic rig. I have been playing in bands since the late 60s and I have had a Fender Dual Showman black face with D 140s. I have had an AMPEG V 4 (I think that was the number) and other amps. I also have a Line 6 Vetta II which itself is a great amp. But my rig with the Traces and the QSC hands down is the best rig for a person who plays multiple instruments. I feel this si not a bad price either for the amount of sound you get and as a bonus, THESE ARE LIGHT!. Very solid cabinets, well balanced, great handles and they are mobed to the front for easy pickup. Easy to move around and with all three cabinets, I have yet to find a squeek, loose screw, tear or anything. It has a knob on the back for adjusting the horn. I have played my Korg TR 61 through them and all of the sounds including the pianos, synths drums, horns etc, all sound excellent. Try them out! These may be your last full range cabinet. Oh and feel free to use LOTS of power. They can handle it!
