      Traynor

An ultra compact, multi-purpose 120W keyboard amplifier.

The Traynor K1 keyboard amplifier offers comprehensive features and crystal clear acoustic reproduction in an ultra-compact combo amp. Built for maximum versatility, the 120-watt K1 amp can be used upright for projecting across a stage, on a typical speaker stand when used as a single speaker micro PA, or as a personal wedge monitor. The Traynor K1 Amp tucks easily under a keyboard rig on even the most crowded stage.

The simple yet effective input section of the K1 combo amp provides one stereo input with EQ, a second full function mono channel with an XLR combi-jack microphone jack and EQ, a third mono channel with 1/4-inch TRS balanced input, and an additional pair of RCA auxiliary inputs ideal for CD or MP3 players.

The Traynor K1 Keyboard Amp uses a single, 10" low-frequency woofer and a 4.75-inch high-frequency driver in the 120W mono combo. A Link jack in the master section allows two K1 amps to be connected, combining the full mixing functions of both units when creating a true stereo 240W system. Classic Traynor K Series features such as a balanced line output, speaker-canceling headphone jack, all metal bar handles, and speaker stand mount adaptor are also included.

The Traynor K1 Keyboard Amplifier is built in North America using solid, marine-grade cabinet construction and an all-metal punched grill to protect the amp's high quality speaker components.

Comments about Traynor K1 Keyboard Combo Amp:

Great small amp for jazz bebopers. Works well much better in fact than my previous Roland KC 350 which had static and humm noise issues. The Traynor K1 seems perfect for smaller stage format. Travels easy, compact. The volume is capable of full range and picks up the rhythm layers well. Not for rockers who want to blow out a garage wall. Sounds like a tube amp as far as fidelity. Works with Psrs950 or the Hammond . Wouldn't probably use connected to more than one keyboard at a time.. Used 100 off coupon so got it less than 500 total. For the money it seems well worth it. Made in Canada with two year warranty.

Comments about Traynor K1 Keyboard Combo Amp:

I researched reviews and looked online at many amps but came around to the Traynor K1 amp for my digital pianos, it works in unison with my Psrs950 and Hammond keys. No distortion I could distinguish, very pure sounds like a tube amp.
I did use a 100 coupon with this brought the price below 500. Previously had purchased a Roland 350 which I had problems with, lots of distortion and didn't last long before costly repairs. The Traynor amp is made in Canada and has a two year warranty. The only additional cost will be for a cover for it, amps are sensitive to dust.
The volume goes quite loud and it picks up all the structure within the rhythm layers.
It wouldn't be good for larger stage appearances but great for small clubs in say a jazz bebop combo. Probably not for rockers who want to blast a whole in the garage wall. Wonderful for jazz. Small portable, dynamic sounds, easy set up.

Comments about Traynor K1 Keyboard Combo Amp:

I really like this amp. I play Classic Rock and Motown on a part-time professional basis. I have long used a Roland KC-350 but got tired of lugging a 48 lb amp to gigs. The K-1 weight of 31 lbs got my attention! It's very easy to transport, and the tone is superb. On live gigs, I run 2 keyboards through it. The tone is nice & clear and cuts through the mix nicely. It has plenty of headroom for small and medium sized venues. For larger shows we all go through the sound board. It has a direct line out to the board and a handy ground lifter to clear any static. Kudos to the people that designed this amp - it's a very nice piece of equipment! My only suggestion to prospective buyers is to get a padded cover for transport because the control knobs seem a bit vulnerable.

Comments about Traynor K1 Keyboard Combo Amp:

Great sound with great features, including tilt back design, speaker stand fittings, and stereo Link (if used with a second identical unit). Extremely solid and well-built. Plenty of power. Very easily portable. Now using it with a second K1 and Traynor's built-in Stereo Link feature. My Hammond SK1's leslie/rotary effect has been greatly enhanced by doing this, especially when you can get good separation on stage between the two K1's. When in this stereo mode, one can control all EQ and volume settings from one amp and pan the volume between the two amps. The dials (knobs) are shiny chrome plastic and the dials' setting pointers are not pronounced enough, making them very difficult to read/set at gigs. Some dials are (too) hard to turn, while others are (too) easy to turn. Wish it had an XLR DI as opposed to a balanced (TRS) DI.
