This was my first amp. Along with my Fender Squire Strat, it sounded pretty good for the price i paid. I even set up a stomp distortion and it sounded nice and vintage. This is great for beginners and maybe school bands. Its also very hard to break. ive drop this baby down the stairs and not a sscratch.
I purchased this amp and wish that I didn't. It seems to play anything but my guitar. It plays radio and TV stations, electrical interference signals, etc.... I am so very disappointed. I knew I wasn't buying a top end amp when I a bought it. I wanted something cheap to start off with. But the interference pretty much assures that I don't practice my electric... Oh well.
It's a good beginner amp, but if you really think about serious playing. DON'T BUY IT. It was my first amp. It buzzes a LOT when you put it to overdrive, and even more when you put a stompbox to it. I borrowed my friends wah pedal (crybaby...which is great, so I bought my own) and it was picking up TV signals or news signals or something like that.it's very good for practice, as I still bring it along with me when I need a portable amp, even though I have a MARSHALL DFX 250 (wooooow it's great). Overall, good for the pRiCe.
This amp's price reflects its quality. It is extremely crappy sounding. It always buzzes when I hit the low E... forget about dropping it to D entirely. Other than its truly terrible sound quality, it has the standard features of bottom-of-the line amps. I suspect that all reviews that commented that this amp sounded anything other than terrible were people who had never heard an amp before.
