More volume, more punch.
The Traynor YCX212 Custom Valve cabinet is loaded with 2 - 12" Celestion speakers. This closed back speaker cab is the perfect companion for the Custom Valve 80 guitar amp--tuned to add not only more volume but also more bottom end.
It is also a perfect match for the Custom Valve 80 visually. The YCX212 is designed with the same 'nouveau-retro' look as the YCV80 and in keeping with the rest of the Traynor Custom Valve series instrument amplifiers.

This cab was built to last. I gave it a 4 for features only because the stock 70/80 speakers are kinda weak. They are not bad but they definitely do not excel at anything. I swapped mine out and added 2 vintage 30s....! wow now this cab rocks. These speakers with traynor's quality is an amazing match. This cab will be in my possession for a long time.
Like other working-musicians, I am downsizing, so I went shopping for smaller 212 cabinets. After trying major brands and a few "boutique jobs" I found these little beauties. They are solid! Classical joinery is precision cut for superb accuracy. The fit and finish is perfect, even inside. (Yes, I looked.)Baltic-Birch plywood throughout, NOT particle-board. Properly-placed handles for balance and ease of handling. Loaded with Celestions for "classic" British tone and response.Metal corner plates, not plastic.Big rubber feet are sturdy and keep the cab in place.Sweet clear tone, even at ridiculous volumes.I appreciate Traynor?s attention to hidden details too, like metal grills underneath the grill-cloth so you get double protection! Nice! After a gentle "break-in" with some clean quiet chords, I cranked them up. WOW!They handle all of 150 watts without puking. Two of them in stereo is delicious! Traynor rocks! These cabs are the best value I have found.
Those of you who have Yorkville or Traynor products already know, this stuff is BUILT! They over-engineer everything for reliability. That's why this thing weighs 40 lbs. I recently bought a Marshal MC 212, and had to send it back because it rattled. When I open it up to tighten screws, I discovered what crappy workmanship the Marshal Cab had.You won't find that in any of Traynor's stuff. If you want to use two smaller 212 cabs for stereo, or are just looking to lighten your load, these cabs are great. Closed back design gives tight low-end. 100% baltic birch void-free plywood gives the cab strength and quality tone.As far as 212 cabs go, this is one of THE BEST you can get, and only costs what other big-name companies charge for MDF particle board junk.Get the good stuff from Traynor. You'll be glad.
