Comments about Two Rock TRSP22CM Studio Pro 22W Tube Guitar Combo Amp:
This is the sweetest sounding amp that I have ever played for home use. The EQ on the front of the amp is great, but with the added second master and pickup loading dial in the back, it just adds to the variety of outrageous tones the Studio Pro 22 has in its arsenal. Play it LOUD or play it low and anything in between ..... it's all good! For home use, recording or small club.
This is a great single channel CLEAN amp which is a fantastic platform for a good OD / Distortion pedal and whatevr other effects you may desire.
I ran a Gibson '58 Les Paul "Glossy" RI and a Fender American Deluxe Ash Strat into it with no pedals. I almost fell over when I heard the tone coming out of this thing. Humbuckers or single coils; Warm, rich, touch sensative, detailed, harmonically rich tone. GORGEOUS!!!!!!
I added my pedal board right into the front of the amp. NO PROBLEM! Wah, OD, Chorus,Delay. (The amp has a real nice spring reverb built in) Now, my pedals are all "good stuff," Strymon, NOC3 OD, Plutonieum Wah. If you put low end noisey pedals into this amp, they're gonna sound "nasty." This amp will bring out the best or the worst of your pedals and your playing.
The Studio Pro 22 has a fair amount of controls but IT'S REAL EASY to dial in your sound. The only problem you may have is deciding which sound is your favorite. If you have the $$$ this amp is ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I've tried Fender, Genz Benz, Mesa Boogie, Carr and Swart. They're all good amps, but they just don't compare to the Two Rock. If you love playing and if you have the money, you really owe it to yourself to try this amp.
