If you read my review of the AG-50DS2, everything still applies here. There are no features, it's simply an extension amp - two more 8" speakers, 50 more watts of power. If the AG-50DS2 has any fault, it's that it isn't all that loud. This external amp solves that problem for venues that need a higher sound level. I use them both in church and coffee house settings. The pair will still not be loud enough for large or dead rooms, but for most solo "acoustic guitar" + vocal settings, this should be enough. Anything more, and you need your PA. This amp is totally transparent - it just makes the AG-50DS2 sound louder. If you add the price of the AG-50DS2 and this amp together, you've invested as much money as you would with other more famous brands. However, it is still my opinion that the quality of sound is unexcelled. I will repeat my comments on the AG-50DS2 in saying that the sound quality is "warm." That's were all the power goes. Other amps I've tried were louder but colored the sound. They compromised the bass to produce a loud, cut through the crud screamer. Ultra Sound pushes the two 8" woofers hard and if your guitar can produce warm bass, these amps will reproduce it. The vocal channel of the AG-50DS2 is so transparent that when using a quality mic, the sound is you - not a colored, electronic rendition. (I use an AT "headset" condenser mic, but I use an SM-58 on occasion, too) This amp has the same sound. After all, it's identical. For these reasons, I do not hesitate recommending both of these amplifiers. The fact that they weigh only 24 pounds each is a definite plus.
