Wanted a clean sounding practice amp for my Taylor acoustic/electric. This one does the job well without breaking the bank.

Comments about UltraSound Dean Markley AG15 15W 1x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I bought this amp for home practice, for both mandolin and guitar, to stick a looper and pedals in front of my acoustic instruments. This is a totally transparent amp; it sounds like my instrument, only louder. With piezo pickups (both instruments have K&K pickups), this amp is surprisingly loud. You may need a preamp with soundhole pickups or microphones. I especially like the 3-way tone and the presence knob (and don't understand why Ultrasound doesn't have this on their more powerful amps.). I found myself using this at a small outdoor gig to balance the mandolin against a loud guitar, and it worked really well. Probably not powerful enough for mid-size or really noisy venues, but so far it works for me. An amazing value in a small amp.
