All-natural acoustic tone in an ergonomically designed high performance package.

The AG50DS4 acoustic guitar combo amplifier pumps out 50 watts of incredibly pure warm tone through its two 8" Mylar coned coaxial speakers, which were specially engineered by UltraSound for all-natural acoustic tone reproduction.

The AG50DS4 combo amp is perfect for smaller venues in a solo arrangement for a rich full volume sound with 100% All-Natural Tone.

The AG50DS4 combo has 2 channels, including phantom-powered microphone inputs for each channel. Each channel sports its own volume and active EQ. Additional features include a studio quality DI, effects loop, and an additional Aux. Input for Tape/CD. To further enhance the AG50DS4, the onboard 24-bit digital effects processor produces studio quality reverbs, delays and chorus effects, which can be routed to either or both channels.

CHANNEL-1 is designed for both MIC level (XLR) or Instrument level (1/4") signals. (The 1/4" TRS Tip/Ring/Sleeve input jack is suited for equipment such as high-impedance microphones, keyboards, and drum machines. It accepts both balanced and unbalanced inputs) (Channel-1 is designed as a generic flat response channel that is suitable for any acoustic instrument level or microphone signal).

CHANNEL-2 is designed primarily for acoustic guitar and is equipped with an 18db cut Notch Filter that is used to control resonant feedback and amid cut SHAPE circuit to eliminate any mid range "quack" from you pickup.

Features

  • Speakers: 2 x 8" (Custom Coaxial Speakers made exclusively for Ultrasound)

  • Volume Controls: 1 per channel

Comments about UltraSound Dean Markley AG50DS4 50W 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I needed something compact to play for a crowd of about 50 or 60 people in a basement type setting. I run my Taylor through an fx box then into channel one. Vocals in channel 2 using the onboard fx. Vocals sound clear and warm, but feed back fairly easily. Guitar sounds warm and the amp is very versatile in allowing you to get the sound you want, or the sound inside your head. Fx are decent bet very limited. You can't change delay or verb settings, only the amount that you want in the mix. There are several verbs and delays to choose from but only a couple are usable in my opinion. So I have used this amp 3 times in the above mentioned setting. It actually has performed well, but I wouldn't push it in any larger setting than 50 people unless you are going to run a line to a larger system. I have not done that yet so can't comment on it. I am pretty happy with this little amp overall. Of course I had to get an amp stand to get it up in the air so it would project. If I had a little bit bigger of a budget I would have rather gotten something with a bit more oomph, like one of the Bose all in one systems, but then again, I can send a DI to another system if needed. Hope this helps someone. PS: I have not used in a band setting, but I think it may be ok if your drummer doesn't play real hard. I don't think it would work with a loud band unless you DI out to the PA.

Comments about UltraSound Dean Markley AG50DS4 50W 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

These are great little amps...nicer overall sound than most others on the market. Don't expect a lot of power. They are made for smaller venue acoustic guitar reinforcement, and work well as a guitar stage monitor. I use it as a sort of 'direct box' to the main sound system.

Let's hope that Dean Markley company leaves the recipe alone.
