OVERVIEW

Very high-quality dual-function unit with effects that stand strong on their own and soar in stereo.

The V2H2O is a chorus and echo guitar pedal that has the same great tones that the H2O guitar effect is famous for, with a Normal/Lush switch added on the chorus channel. You get liquid analog chorus via the rare NOS BBD chip that is shaped by Speed, Width, and Delay Time controls for everything from subtle to lush to underwater. The Echo channel offers up to 800ms of analog-voiced digital echo. You can change echo time on the fly with the Echo Time knob. Controls also include Repeats and Effect levels. A second output jack lets you send a dry signal to a second amp. The pedal is easily modified to send an effected signal to a second amp. Effect channels can be used separately or together.

Warm! Liquid! Lush! All words that accurately describe the V2 Series H2O from Visual Sound. The new H2O gives you all the same great tones guitarists have come to love over the years. Whether it's Chorus, Echo, or both... use each channel by itself, or combine them both just as you would two separate pedals! The Chorus channel is a wonderfully voiced effect for electric, acoustic, or bass guitar, using pure analog circuitry. At the heart of the Chorus circuit are custom designed Visual Sound bucket brigade chips. Use the Norm/Lush switch to set the overall style of Chorus and drift away on the H2O's incredibly rich chorus. H2O's Echo channel is a hybrid digital and analog circuit for the best of both worlds... you'll be amazed at the long delay times with their warm, natural repeats. Add to it a second (non-effected) output jack for stereo amplifier setups and you have the best of all worlds in the H2O.

The Visual Sound V2 Series V2H2O H2O Chorus and Echo Guitar Effects Pedal features a diecast aluminum housing, ultra-reliable 10 million cycle switching, easy battery access and circuit protection from AC adapters.

It seems like I have tried hundreds of chorus's! I am VERY picky with all of my pedals and this is still my favorite chorus pedal out there. I have yet to hear any chorus out there that compares with this. I will say that tone "purists" might have a problem with this pedal because when engaged, it does change ur sound a little, but to me, it is a good sound. I have all of my effects going thorugh a true by-pass looper so my sound is true bypass until i engage an effect and this effect in particular sounds awesome.
honestly, if someone is worred about their original sound being changed, then they probably shouldn't have ANY pedals in their chain at all. That's what pedals do...create an effect which does "change" your sound. If you don't want you sound changed, then don't buy an effect pedal.
I mainly use this during really spacy, dreamy sounds or during a solo and it works great for me. Chorus, imo, is one of those effects that no one really needs, but if your wanting a really nice sounding chorus/echo, then this pedal is worth a try.
I read the bad reviews about their pedal being noisy or dropping their signal...they must have had a lemon because I have owned atleast 3 of these throughout the years and none of them have given me this problem. Btw, visual sound customer service is exceptional so there a phone call away from fixing whatever problem you might have. I also have visual sounds' pony tube amp, and jekyll and hyde overdrive/distortion pedal, which is also my favorite distortion pedal out there also.
Although I love this pedal and its my favorite chorus...I will say that it is too pricy for what it is.

I initially wanted the liquid chorus, and maybe I would have liked that, but I was assured that this was as good as a liquid chorus. It's not. This thing sucked the tone out of my rig like a black hole, I immediately removed it from my pedal board and returned it. In my effects loop there was a very noticeable drop in sound quality the instant it was turned on. I guard my tone carefully and this thing doesn't cut it.

V2H2O H2O Chorus and Echo Guitar Effects Pedal

Ask me a question

I'm certainly impressed with this pedal, really pleased with all of it's functions.
I've used a lot of different makes of effects pedals and I will say that I'm very pleased with this one/
I haven't owned this one very long, but it looks very tough to me. It's pretty evident that some great engineering went in to this pedal.
I was fortunate to purchase this pedal gently used, at a great price. I'm more than pleased.

Great Dual Pedal

I've gone through many Chorus pedals, and this one is my favorite. I love the lush setting, sounds very wet and trippy. The delay is great too, does exactly what it should. I have 3 Visual Sound pedals, and I have become a big fan of their stuff. Their products sound great, are built to last, and their customer support is excellent. This pedal isn't cheap, but you are getting 2 quality pedals in one box, so I think it's worth it. I am surprised to read other reviews here stating they have issues with tone sucking and noise from this pedal, it's dead silent in my set up,and it seems to be transparent when bypassed. Great pedal, buy one!

one of the best chorus pedals made...hands down

You name the chorus pedal and I bet I've either owned it or tried it and none have even come close to comparing to the tone and features of this one. Most chorus's sound fake or processed..this one sounds natural and doesn't alter your tone much at all. The echo was a perfect combo for this. even if you already have delay as most do, you will find yourself using this echo a lot as well. It's worth every penny! Visual Sound has not disappointed me yet!

The only chorus/echo you will ever need.

The Visual Sound H20 pedal is the best chorus pedal you could ask for. I can get any chorus tone I want out of, and get flange and phase too. The echo is good for "doubling" parts or giving you the "Grand Canyon Effect", which is useful in many ways. The only bad part is that it's huge... I have the original design. Built like a tank, but plug it up... It burns batteries.

lushous tones spoken here.

To me, no 2 effects sound better when run together than chorus and delay (echo). You know, that lush swirling, shimmering effect made even dreamier and more mysterious with the "ghost" blended in. It's quite dramatic and very satifying to the aural senses. This pedal, the Visual Sound H2O liquid Chorus/Echo, which I've owned now for about 4 years, has been stomped on endlessly (read, mercylessly) without any sign of signal failure or damage, though the finish which, on this older one is blue anodized aluminum, is scratched a bit now. I've found that It's best to run this pedal last in line if you use multiple pedals because it is a bit noisy if you run any type of OD or boost after it. I believe you will be happy with this one. The H2O pedal's price is steadily going up though, so ya better get one quick sucka! One last thought on this fine pedal; If you like chorus in stereo, and who don't, this pedal is in mono, but a wonderful sounding mono nonetheless, and it does have dual outputs, one being un-effected so you can run 2 different amps spread apart in any live performance and get great results. Thats what I do!

Not worth it

By Anonymous

I bought this and got it home where I could really here it. After that I didn't even try to gig with it. It is one of the noisiest effects I've ever heard. The chorus is nice but I couldn't even stand the noise at a low volume practice setting. This went back for a full refund the next day.

Great pedal, disapointing service policy

Ask me a question

I purchased this pedal 5 years ago and I would have to say it is My favorite pedal. The combination of chorus and echo give it the surreal sound that I like.I put My EH small stone phase in front of it to add even more dimension. My one problem is that Visual Sound will not provide service information or parts to outside repair shops. Even though My pedal is out of warranty and My particular model is no longer made, I have no choice but to have it serviced by Visual Sound.Mainly, this is an inconvenience to Me.

Very nice pedal...compared to the DLS chorus ~ vibe and the Boss CS-5 I own, this pedal has some excellent chorus tones, normal or very lush...the echo is nice on this also, great slapback to U2 long delay...lovin this pedal so far, but a tad pricey (although your getting two in one)

Lots of pedal for the money

You get two pedals in one package and with the mode switch for each, it's almost like getting four!I was able to find a setting on the delay that allows me to have my standard long delay and with the flip of the switch get a slap back for the few country songs my band plays! As for the chorus, I just leave on the Lush setting to add "trippy" sounds.Great pedal for working or budget minded players.
