Bought this to practice anytime I wanted quietly without dragging amp in every room, my headphones are cheap but work good for now. Will buy better phones later. Don't like the vox stuff that much but this works very well for its intended use.
I would buy again.

No question the amPlug is a neat device for the money but I feel overall you will be disapointed with the sound quality. I like the fact that you can plug in an mp3 player and play along.
Very basic and easy to use. Delay is neat option for the $$ amount.

It's a great practice tool when you need to be quiet. You can plug the aux jack into your computer and go crazy with youtube lessons, dvd lessons, etc... and not wake up your wife, two year old or next door neighbor. Only bad thing is battery cover. Really flimsy and doesn't want to stay on. Easy fix with a rubber band, but hey! Overall does the job I think it was made for.

I spend alot of time on the road. I was lugging around a processor and it was fine but, when you have to carry everything all over you look for opportunities to shed some gear. I have the Lead version and it is a sweet little machine. The sound is good and plugging in an mp3 makes it sweet.it's crisp and clean with overall great perfomance. I thought alittle pricey hence the lower value rating. I reccommend it, just remember it is what it is...no frill-light wieght amplification.

You know it amazes me that there are not more quality options for affordable headphone amps. I thought this would be awesome with the delay effect, but it is rather limiting since it can't be customized. Essentially it is just a reverb. I'm dissapointed too, that the unit produces an extremely limited range of sounds. The portability of the unit is great and it is simple and cheap in terms of cost. Build quality is okay, but I am concerned that the design is really better suited to strat players where the unit has some protection from bumps and bangs. My son loves it and I think it will go to him for use as a practice tool.

I plugged this into my strat and instead of head phones I plugged it into my computer speakers turned up to 10 and this thing wailed, It was like playing though a 100 watt stack. Great tone. Not a heavy metal sound but a nice 70's era rock sound. Nice tube sound which is amazing in a small package. Well worth the money.
