Comments about Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I bought this amp as an addition to my Vox AC4 combo, which has the external speaker output. It sounds great and adds some headroom and a less boxy feel to an already excellent practice amp. I've used it with my Orange Micro Terror as well and love the sound of the Orange through the Celestion speaker. I plan to use it for gigs due to the portability factor, though it will be mic'd through the house PA. I doubt it would be loud enough for a large venue on its own, but it works perfectly for those of us not going without a competent sound guy. No complaints this far.
Comments about Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I bought the TV4 head, and used it to power my vintage AC30 cabinet. My AC30 head was just too loud for most applications and I couldn't use enough volume to get the crunch I wanted. Originally I used an Epiphone Valve Junior head, but when the TV4 came out I had to try it. It worked well for what I wanted, but I happened upon a '65 vintage Vox Pathfinder combo amp and that has become my go to amp. I decided to get the matching cabinet for the AC4 head to round out my collection and put it in my living room. Wow! The cabinet sounds incredible! Warm, and the way it breaks-up all crunchy is delicious. I couldn't be happier!
The Celestion speaker IS the feature here!
Solidly constructed, and that speaker is a charm!
I just spent a lot on a vintage amp, and this cabinet with the AC4 head has nearly as much character for half the price.
Comments about Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
i have the ac4tv head that goes with it. i have to say the tone it fantastic. the speaker doesn't distort (i know 4 watts, but it can get loud). the cab has also held up for me pretty good. i might change the speaker after a while...in like 5 years, and the white is not as scratch prone as i thought it would be. as for the other guy before me, why would you buy a cabinet only to change the speaker right away? dude get you some 3/4" MDF plywood, some wood glue, and some 2.5" drywall screws (drill a pilot hole). when its the size you want, glue some carpet on with spray adhesive and screw some protec corners on it. u could build a cab for 8 10's for like $125o by the way i love my set up with my ac4tv head and the cab. i didnt know how many watts. i though about putting a marshall haze 15 head but didnt yet. o by the way that 1-12" cab is good too... BUY BOTH OF THOSE CABINETS!!!!!
Comments about Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
This Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet is a handsome 30 watt cabinet. It can easily handle the Vox Night Train NT-15 head for a perfect combo amp....I have the Vox Night Train head it is awesome
Comments about Vox V112TV 1X12" Guitar Speaker Cabinet:
I was excited to buy one of these for my Vox AC4TV head because I definitely did not want the combo version with its particle board construction and 10" speaker. I figured, hey, it's less than the Vox V112HTV cabinet, so I'll upgrade the speaker to a Celestion Blue and save a couple hundred bucks. However, I was disappointed to open the back of this 1X12 cabinet and find that it was constructed out of PARTICLE BOARD. I promptly returned it. Save your money and buy a real birch 1X12 cabinet such as the Epiphone Valve Junior extension cab, or cough up $500 more for the V112HTV cab with the included Celestion Blue (the V112HTV is apparently a birch cab). I have A/B'd them (before returning the V112TV), and it is a night and day difference - the VJ cab is so much more alive with just its stock Eminence Lady Luck speaker. The V112TV speaker is a mediocre Celestion Seventy 80, fyi.
