This is a great amp, I have owned this for seberal years now and it has never let me down. Its a great amp for jamming with friends and good for practice. while its a smaller amp it can crank up loud and has great sound.

Power, Tone, Value, Versatility, Looks...i dont know a hybrid amp that beats Valvetronix...and the price is so right...definately an improvement from your first little gig amp, such improvement youd be hard pressed to part with it
this amp is amazing...im gonna Tstart with the obvious, Vox's Valve Reactor tecnology kicks butt. The sounds coming out of this thing are warm and articulate...the Fender models sound very clear and Blackfaceish like we love it...then the Marshall sound has the crunch and headroom we want....and the AC30, OMG...We bought this amp for our church two years ago, and it is a work horse...two rehearsals and 4 to 5 performances a week...i cant talk about the other amp models since i dont use them much but with the 3 band EQ and Reverb, Gain, Master and Volume knobs i can pretty much get all the tones i like with just the AC30TB model although i use the Fenders and Plexi too. The only thing missing is an Extention Cab output...it has the external cab out but it mutes the amp speaker...the onboard FX sound killer...takes pedals and multiFX real good.
Built like a tank...heavy...my back has suffered from carrying it...the grille is cool looking...people look at it and think youre gonna play metal, then these sweet sparkly tones come out...decieving if you will...but you can go to the high gain side of town with it too
For the price youre getting a lot more than youre paying...a warm sounding first of all, accurate modeling and most of all everyday usability and reliability...want more? it looks great.

as far as issues with it...two years, and havent had to replace the valve...although i know a lot of folks do it, havent felt it needs to be replaced...the amp got a little crazy after a rainy oudoors gig and volume dropped next time i turned it on so after a few mins of fiddleying with the knobs and a reset it was back to normal.

I've been playing this amp for two weeks now so I can't comment on long term issues, except to say that I have had very satisfactory experiences with my other voxes, the Tone Lab, since it was introduced, and my Pathfinder 15R.First of all, there is no getting around having to read the owner's manual. The amp is complicated, even for someone like me who is only going to use the "clean" tones available. The amp offers plenty to work with once you get to working with it. I'm going to be playing the amp as part of a worship service. I play several Fenders, an Epiphone Gold Top and a Hallmark (Mosrite clone)and they all really shine with this amp.My only gripe is the editing controls. Vox got it so right with the Tone Lab's 3 knobs and visual display. The VT50 only offers a knob and two buttons, and no display. It's workable but not near as functionally friendly as the Lab.I do have to say that the general performance, after just two weeks, is getting more impressive every day. It's too bad that the 5-button pedal is extra, but I recommend getting it.My original search was simply for a low wattage amp (30-50 watts) and a 12" speaker. I played Fender, Peavey and a Line 6 that all met those criteria and picked this amp because it had the best warm clean tones. I wish that it wasn't so heavy, but that is the price you pay for good construction. Funny, since I also felt that way about my Dual Shownman in '69.

I use this as a practice amp when I can't crank my modded out Carvin Legacy. The wattage control is just too cool, this amp has a great tube feel and presence at all volumes. The 50 watts is LOUD, plenty loud for most anything with an amp stand to lift it off the floor. The amp models and effects are very good and very genuine, with a little tweaking you quickly learn to dial in sounds easily with this amp. The amp could have been built better, it just does not feel solid. The stock speaker is also garbage. I often plug my into my cab and it sounds loads and loads better. I bought the footswitch with mine, would be a pain without it. All in all. Bang for the buck is this amps thing. Tons of sounds and tons of effects from a tube powered circuit with awesome tone for the money.

I bought this little Vox amp a year ago because it had every bit as good clear tone as my old Fender Twin Reverb. The Vox's tube generates a 100% Fender Twin clear tone and reverb is amazing. Much easier to carry around to shows and versatile. I can pre-program amp settings and with a push of the button have the same sound everynight. The 50 watts is plenty loud for the stage. If you are amp shopping don't leave until you try one.

okay, i hate to write this but i need to.... this amp sounded great. my lead guitar player has the vt100 and my brother has the new version of that. all three amp have great sound but all three have had issues with them (mostly having to do with the wattage knob) i tour and play at a number of church's where i live , i love the sound ... but the amps break. plain and simple

I gave my brother my first one, bought another one, and bought my step-daughter the 30 watter. I have played every amp it models but the dumble, and well, I can't tell the difference. You won't be able too.I replaced the tube with a groove tube.It has plenty of bass with 12,but the 10 inch thirty watter cuts throught the mix better. I used to play the original line 6 300 watter, and to me the vox is a better modeling amp.Oh yeah buy the footswitch,and yeah I have gigged with mine for 3 years now.Wish it had more effects is my only gripe, better yet more single effects.They like to combine alot of my favorites instead of just single effects.

This is a okay amp, still i am an armature (the way I hear it my friends think I don't give myself enough credit) guitarist and still haven't gotten all through all the features wanted with this amp. Its loud at 15watts i can't crank it past 1/4 of the master because i live in an apartment. The amp feature are great for anything you need from classic to rock but if your a metal enthusiast you may need a pedal to play some hard core song, this amp has distortion but if your crazy for it like i am you would want a little more aside from that the amp did everything I wanted it to do, do some research and visit a local store and try the amp set it to the things YOU want to hear .

I cover WIDE genres live and this does it perfect! It really doesn't sound like a modeling amp, it sounds real. The crunch - type tones are the best but with an overdrive pedal in front of it it can perfectly do metal. My one complaint is on the pitch shifter 1 octave up it sounds all weird and out of tune. other than that its awesome!

Two months after i bought my AD50VT, my local shops started selling this newer model (figures). From what i gather, this new one is better. However, with that said, let me recommend this whole Vox Valvetronix series, both old and new models. It seems to give a nice Marshall (80s UK) and nice Fender Baseman sound, so really i don't know if any of the other 20 amps that it models are really needed. Buy it, good stuff. Wear it out and be happy.
