yeah so im in iraq living in a room with 40 something other guys that dont want to hear me playing all the time. so i got this thing. im a retard when it comes to gadgets so its simplicity is a good thing (even though id like a little more control on the distortion like an eq or something besides the little warm/bright switch) the clean channel is freakin AMAZING i mean totally freakin crazy i was blown away by how good it sounded because honestly i was expecting something pretty crappy. the effects work great and i really like the stereo delay. and i have had the sound go out but that was only when the batteries were dying after using a very very large set of headphones that drained them pretty quickly. also the distortion while nice in the low gain settings for old school and blues and such really sucks when cranked all the way up whick is where i play the most. so im guessing it wasnt made so much for metal. either that or its a lot harder to get a high gain to sound decent through heaphones. i would still definitly recommend it for traveling and quiet practising.

I usually write reviews with positive comments based on my experience with a product. While this item has a very good concept for features needed in a headphone amp, it crashed almost immediately (less than 3 hours use).I bought it to plug in while kicked back in my recliner: practice some licks. etc. Sounds from it were decent and had parameters - but, again, cheaply made. The device started "clicking" off and on as though someone was toggling in on/off switch. Checked my cords, earphones, changed the batteries, but no - it was the device. $50 gone, but not forgotten.

Comments about Waves iGTR Modeling Guitar Headphone Amp:

Great effects. Great sound. Has a serious intermittent on/off problem. I have had 4 of these in 10 months because of poor quality (I suspect some bad solder joints inside the unit). Thankfully, Waves stands behind their product because they replaced all 4 under warranty. If they could get their quality problems fixed they would have a real winner with this product.

Great idea,Great price, poor engineering..!! It needs a compressor built in before it hits the pre-amp or before the effects... if you have hot pickups... the two I purchased, shut off as soon as I would play a loud hard passage.. I could put up with the bright cheesy sounding distortion... I loved the auto wah.! The phase shifter was excellent..! I loved the price, but if something is not engineered correctly .... and it shuts it's self off.... well why wast the money..! To bad I would love to have one that worked.. I own a school of music and if it worked correctly I could have had every student purchase one .. Their parents,,, would have loved it.. jeff..

This unit sounded ok but it had an internal connection problem. If you move it around or put it in the belt clip holder the sound would cut off.

                Small and compact jam machine

                By

                from DC area

Comments about Waves iGTR Modeling Guitar Headphone Amp:

This is a great little device that will allow you to play on your own or with an MP3 player and output either or both to an amp or recording device. I bought it to play over mp3 jam tracks. I like the effects there are 6: Reverb, Chorus, Delay, Phaser, Tremolo, and Wah. You can only use 2 at a time, Reverb or Chorus or Delay and Trem or Phaser or Wah.

There are 3 amp settings, Warm, Normal or Bright, which are just okay. It can be powered with 4 AAA batteries or a 6-12 V DC adapter.Overall I really like the size and the functionality of the iGTR. I'd love to see them expand the capabilities of this product to add more amps but for the size and money this is a great little unit.

If you want to see/hear it in use go to YouTube.
6 effects and 3 amp seetings
MP3 player connectivity so that you can play over/along with songs
output to an amp or a recording device
                standard headphone jack
                So far so good.
                Not a bad price.

Don't waste your time and moneyy!

Comments about Waves iGTR Modeling Guitar Headphone Amp:

Received this unit 3 days ago and it's going back asap. It does what it says it will do, and if it worked all the time I would give it a great review. Unfortunately, many of the other reviews are right. It will begin cutting out every few seconds for a couple of seconds, then come back on, making it impossible to practice or record. Not a great sounding unit, but for the money it COULD do a good job if it would just work all the time. I'll be sending this one back for a refund today. Real waste of money, especially since I had it shipped overnight. Will have to make do with the old Rockman until I find something better than the it to replace it.
