The MagicStomp sounds great and is small to fit on a pedalboard. It sits on a pedalboard because I need other fx to provide what can't be accessed with the MagicStomp in a real live playing situation.I use the MS in the studio the most and don't really gig with it ( I've got the great Line6 Podxt Live for that. 10*) Lately I've been using The MS with my Wechter Pathmaker acoustic. Sounds wonderful.Because it's hard to scroll a wide variety of patches while performing, I tend to use it like a single sound most often. This is too bad because it has so many great sounds to offer. The problem is the system used to access the patches. Line6, Digitech, Boss, Zoom, they all have similar bank/patch access. But Yamaha historically has failed in this.Sound wise the MS is at the top. Right below Line6 and better than the others. As a smart pedal, it fails. And NO tap tempo. this should be standard stuff.Wake up Yamaha. It's a love/hate relationship.
