I've had mine a year now, long enough to be able to know how this amp performs in many situations. I've been fully satisfied with this amp. It may have fewer options than some of the competition, but the options it offers are the ones that I thought I would need, and after a year of use, the are exactly what I need.Silent tuning.Balanced line out to the PA, pre- or post-eqLimiterInputs for active or passive bassAdequate control over tone via the bass, low mid, high mid, treble and scoop controls. The only feature I don't use is the effects loop; that's because I don't use effects with bass. There are amps with more power, it is true. This one has reasonable power which I augment through the FOH if/as required. I play in a loud band, I always run a line to the PA for just a touch of reinforcement.Bottom line, if you want an amp that is easy to transport, sounds good, has enough basic power to cover small rooms but provides the flexibility to plug into the FOH if reinforcement is needed, this is a great choice. On the other hand, if you want an amp with enough power on its own to bruise spleens and cause spastic colon, then you'll need to look elsewhere.

I have had this amp for about 11 months now. At first it was great. The controls, features everything. What was great was that I've never heard a combo amp that stays true to my sound. With this amp, you don't get useless nonsense cluttering your sound. My MAJOR problem has just recently occured. I think I blew the speaker out because notes become horribly messed up due to a tasteless ringing sound. This amp was definitely too good to be true.

Outstanding

Sounds great and is tougher than it looks. As I use it for a backline amp, I only need enough power to match the drums, but it's great to be able to crank it up when jamming with others. Power is no problem here. My only gripe is that there is no volume pad for the horn, but I installed one myself and it made this amp perfect. An excellent amp for any venue, especially with the switchable line/DI XLR out. In over 30 years, I have never seen a bass amp of this quality and power in so small and lightweight a package. I'll be buying another one soon.

The legend of Traynor Lives On!

By Loucifer

This is one sick combo for the price. It blows the competition away... by far the best amp you may never have heard of. I've played a '72 Traynor since 1992, and I remain loyal. this amp just solidfied my experience with Tone, Power, and overall value.

5 years and counting...

I've had this amp for about 5 years now, and i absolutely love it. It's the first combo amp i ever got, and is all i ever needed really. peronally, if you wanna get slappin' and thumpin', the 4x10 cab sounds better... but for what i do, the single 15. every year i appreciate more and more the smooth deep tone i get out of this amp and how great it really sounds. also, i've had nothing but compliments from other musicians on the way it sounds. if anything happened to this amp, i'd buy the same one again. well, i have the carpeted finish... so i'd probably go with the tolex next time. but i don't think it'll break on me. it's solid. just buy it.

This thing is sweet. Has enough power to make the walls shake at 2, and the tone is shocking. Definitely not too expensive either! A great value!

Excellent combo for the money

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

With all the features, power, and tone of this combo, its amazingly priced. It is very solid in its construction, and has the best warranty in the business. As far as tone goes, its very transparent sounding, so it is true to your individual bass. Though with its extensive eq, you can dial in a myriad of tones. All in all, an excellent choice, no matter what style of music you play.

Great overall bass amp

By OverExposure64

Great overall bass amp. Great tone and sound. Extremely solid amp. I could probably throw it down my stairs, and it would do more damage to the stairs. The loudest I turn it when I play is to 3 or 4. Well worth the money.

XM200 Bass Combo

By Milliestreet

from Michigan

I've owned the XM200 Bass Combo for about one year, playing mostly on weekends. In that time, the amp has performed above my expectations. The tonal variety is endless, but works best for me flat with mid scoop. It can handle anything on stage you ask of it, and works well with the PA if necessary for some balance. The guys in the band are seasoned, and all comment favorably on this amp. Overall, no regrets, or problems.Summary good: light weight, powerful, versatile, and trustworthy for gigs.Summary bad: will hurt you if you let it.

House breaker!!!

This thing is great. I just picked it up a while ago and I am in love with it. The amount of tinkering you can do with the tone is unbelievable. So far the loudest I have taken this amp is 5, I stopped there because I was afraid for the structural integrity of my house. This is one amp you will not regret buying.
