With over one hundred twenty-five years in the business, Yamaha has long strived to meet the needs of musicians and enrich lives around the world. The company is known globally for producing high quality instruments and sound equipment, while also creating education initiatives for budding musicians. As the leading manufacturer of musical equipment, the corporation produces amplifiers to meet the needs of musicians of all levels. From that first reed organ built by Torakuso Yamaha in 1887, the company has always set strict standards and used cutting edge technology to create music gear of superior quality. Yamaha crafts amplifiers that are used by budding musicians, producers, and famous artists the world over. Guitarists Jon Harrington (Steely Dan), Jason "Slim" Gambill (Lady Antebellum), Eugene Edwards (Dwight Yoakam), and Dave Stewart (formerly of Eurythmics) all use Yamaha amplifiers for their warmth and easy-to-use features.

In 2011, Yamaha changed the way guitarists play with the introduction of two THR models at London's Hard Rock Cafe. These amps feature VCM, or virtual currency modeling which allows them to recreate classic tube sounds from a portable and compact box. Thanks to this brilliant design, guitarists no longer have to deal with lugging a heavy amp around everywhere or replacing tubes. Since its award winning introduction, Yamaha has expanded the THR range by introducing three new models: THR 10C, THR10X and THR5A.

Musicians like using the THR10X because it's easy to grab on your way to practice and it produces a wide range of tones for the guitar, creating that authentic tube sound, even when the lady next door asks you to keep it down. When you're playing classic rock or extreme metal, the THR10X provides more gain and intense distortion, depending on how dirty or clean you want your sound. The THR5 is even more portable than its big brother, so it's great when you're on the road or heading to your buddy's garage to jam. Both models get raves for reproducing the character and response of the old tube amps.

The company's commitment to filling the diverse needs of its customers around the world has made it a leader in the industry. By encouraging and supporting performers, producing excellent products, and exploring exciting new technology. Yamaha constantly proves its dedication to music and the talented people who play it
