Comments about Protec Contoured Baritone Saxophone PRO PAC Case:

This is the best bari case you can get on a budget! Not to mention, it's just as good as cases that cost three times as much.
I have a 1928 Buescher True Tone bari, which has a monstrous bell compared to modern horns and split bell keys (meaning the low B key cup is on the left of the bell and the Bb is on the right) and is somewhat more fragile than newer horns. If this case can handle that beast, it can handle just about anything (with the exception of the terrifying non-removable neck baris from before the '20s).
It is a very sturdy wood-frame case with good padding, and I trust it to protect my sax for a long time. It also comes with a little neck and mouthpiece pouch, as opposed to the neck-only pouches that come with other cases I've seen. The pouch is soft and very well padded (it can make for good lumbar support in a pinch :), so it can be put inside the bell of a low A bari without scratching the finish
My ONLY complaint is that if you don't pay attention to the little ribbons inside that keep the case from opening past 90 degrees, they'll get hung up on the zippers. Just get in the habit of shoving them against your sax before you close it.
Overall, an exceptional case. And it smells good, too!
