It's hard to think about bass amplifiers without the name 'Peavey' coming to mind - after all, they're one of the biggest makers of amps and speakers in the entire world. Peavey owes its incredible success to the rock-solid design and performance of their hardware, which caught on fast after the company was founded in 1965. The man behind this legendary company, Hartley Peavey, aspired to become a rock star and he succeeded in his own way: by building an amplifier empire. Just listen to any of Peavey's bass combo amps and you'll know exactly why they're such a big deal. Even the little ones, the 10W Max 126 and 20W Max 158, can put out some big sound with their 6" and 12" drivers, respectively. If you've got big venues to fill, the Max series will take you right up the curve in power and size, from the 10" 100W Max 110 to the 12" 200W Max 112 and, at the top of the stack, the impressive Max 115, which delivers 300W through a 15" woofer. Still not enough? Get ready for the Tour TKO and Tour TNT. Each of these combo amps has a meaty 15" woofer, with the TKO pushing 400W and the TNT rumbling in at 600W, more than enough juice to challenge plenty of two-piece stacks.

If a stack is more your style, though, Peavey has you covered. Tube lovers can bring out the big guns with the 225W Tour VB-2 or the 300W Pro VB-3. Pair them up with a new Peavey cabinet or your favorite speakers and you're ready to rock. For the biggest power junkies, there's the Tour 450 and Tour 700. These high-powered beasts are rack-mountable so you can slide them right into your road case rack and take them to any stage that needs shaking.

Of course, no bass amplifier head is complete without the cabinets to stack beneath it. If your philosophy is 'more is better,' then take a look at the Headliner 210 and 410, as well as the VB-810. These cabinets are packed full of 10" woofers, from two in the 210 all the way to eight in the 810, which handles 800W with nary a hiccup. The Headliner 115 will go a long way to satisfying the 'bigger is better' crowd with its 500W-capable 15" driver. And for the bassist who demands nothing less than the most excessive, there are the Tour VB-115 and VB-215. One and two speakers may seem modest at first, but don't let that fool you - these stealth behemoths are packing Black Widow woofers that can handle an astounding 700W apiece.

So, go ahead and take your pick. From the portable performance of the Max 126 combo amp all the way to the earthquake-inducing raw power of the Tour 700 head and VB-215 cabinet, Peavey bass amplifiers cater to bassists of all stripes.
