Wow, I never thought I would play an acoustic bass. But then I saw this bass at my local music store. So I decided to try it out, you know? In I fell in love with it. It's acoustic-electric, but I probably won't use the electric part. But plugged or unplugged sounds delightful. The tuner is a fantastic feature along with the volume, treble, and bass. I'm saving my money to get this bad boy(I have a very low budget, haha.)
i got this bass for xmas and i am in love with itthe EQ gives you such a great range, and the onboard tuner is quite handy. well worth buying
I don't own the thing. I have played it at a local music store and was amazed at the quality of tone for the price. Alvarez is my personal favorite acoustic maker. They dish out amazing sounding instruments that should cost double and maybe even triple the price at an amazing low price. I'm sure you will not be disappointed!
I bought this bass, and was very pleased with the sound, if it is plugged to an amp. It does not have enough volume unplugged, not to be overridden by the other instruments. All in all a good enough bass guitar to please even the hard to please.
I bought this bass and like it very much. I switch the strings to the Thomastik-Infeld Acousticore Phosphor Bronze (Nylon Core) bass strings. This bass with these strings has great sustain and vibrado. I also own a Breedlove Atlas Series Solo JB350/CR4 which is really nice and I prefer to play the Alvarez most of the time. This a a well made bass at a great price
Tried it in my local music shop, unplugged it did not sound good, the sound was weak and lacked much needed volume with or without a pick. Also, it was drowned out when playing along an acoustic guitar.
