A bass from the dark side.
B.C. Rich is known for their neck-through basses and the Warlock NT 5-String Bass Guitar is a fine addition to that tradition. The distinctive Warlock body shape is enhanced with nato sides and a two-piece quilt maple veneer top. Diamond inlays highlight an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets. Now players who want the added sustain and solid feel of a neck-through can pick up a Warlock NT.
It plays like a dream. Order the NT Warlock today.

This is actually my second Warlock but my fourth Bass. While I have never owned a Neck-thru model,I have spent many hours trying a variety. Some good. Some bad. When it comes down to it,nothing was like the Warlock.Going from four to five is easy with this model and flatwounds make it awesome. It's still new to me but I like the tone and the way it sustains. If you like a Warlock and have considered going from 4 to 5 the only drawback;I'll tell you,it's not that bad.The string distance was easy with my pick, but remember fellow pick players,I pick above my pickups, not over the tailpiece(again, my preference). The only drawback was it had a short inside the instrument cable connection. Two min. later problem solved and I proceded to jam out,so Don't bother me.I'm jammin on my 5 string.
this is my first five string and knowing B.C. Rich when it comes to quality they wont let you down i play in two bands one a hard rock band the other a heavy metal band, and this machine was built for metal, and the action is great i can fret the neck it will get every note, and the sound is enormous. I highly recommend if you are looking for a high quality 5 string this will serve you nicely just make sure your amp can handle it
This is bass is my 3rd bass that I bought, and it's by far my favorite. Mostly because it is EXTREAMLY comfortable and it looks really good on stage, there are only two problems that I had (quickly overcame although.) First the neck for some reason feels a lot thicker then most other bass necks I have played, which just takes some time to get used to. The second is that my pickups have a bad hiss if I don't mute the strings, (easily fixed with new pickups and this might of just been my bass) But this is an amazing bass, very comfortable, string spacing is best for finger picking and (if you use a pick) I would at least play it before you buy.
This is my forth bass I have bought. I find the tones you can get from it are fantastic. I personally like a rich, deep bassy tone and it certainly delivers. It looks awesome when your playing live and really stands out, sounds and looks. My only objections with it were the string spacing because I prefer the strings a little further apart for more comfortable finger work. I have adjusted to it better now. Its completely neck heavy too so you have to be holding it up all the time. If you can get past this though its a great product, and for the price it goes for too. Its very durable and can withstand a beating in live performances. Obviously like all spiky shapes it will chip fast if your not careful. But give it the respect it deserves and you'll find yourself with an awesome sounding, great looking bass.
I have the NJ series of this bass I bought in 2005 after I bought my B.C. Rich Warlock Platinum 4 stringer.. 4 stringer does not have active electronics, yet 5 stringer is bombastic, wicked sounding in drop tuning ADGCF which Korn uses a lot.. Looks wicked and sounds wicked. Close string spacing makes thumping a challenge but with a lot of practice no problem..
I was playing around with my warlock 5 and was happly suprised by how many good, usable tones it could get. Once you become aquainted with all of the knobs, there is no limit to what you can squeeze out of it. I could get mine to go from super bright and sizzly to smooth, dense and deep with just a couple turns of my controls. The other nice thing is that all knobs, except for the master volume, have center detents, which really helps when mixing your sounds together. The rest of the bass seems to be solid as well, the factory action was really close to being ideal, and the neck adjustment required absolutely nothing. It was spot on. It is a shame BC Rich has such a sad and soiled record. what most people don't realize is that REAL b.c. richs are hand made in the USA. and for evey 1 real bc out there, 50 of these much, much lower quality instruments are produced. so every one thinks that these korean and chinese models are BC rich's heart and soul, but the imports are merely wannabes, but as far as wannabes go, this one is a keeper. Just be sure to get a hardshell for it. Or it WILL chip!
A warlock with an extra low B string... Now you don't just sound scary, you look it too. Dang playable. The string spacing is nice and tight, great for speed. Not a terribly good multi tasker. Pretty much does one thing and does it well. Don't worry, although it looks like a stage prop, there is actually a solid, well built musical instrument hidden under all those corners. How ever, if you are looking for a bass that can play metal AND (insert other style of music here)... get an ESP or an Ibanez, but, if you're a vampiric creature who wants to do nothing more than drop your pants on stage and take a molten lead BM right into the crowd's lap, there is no better metal weapon than the warlock 5.
GREAT BASSS!!!!!! This bass is so well made the bass it gives out when it it's pugged straight into a mixer with the bass on the eq halfway up and the volume not even halfway to the capability of my amp or my speakers, knocks stuff off my desk in my room above the practice area. if u want a bass that will rock your house without having to crank your volume up 10 on ur amp and mixer then this is the bass to buy. Best bass I have ever heard or played on.
