OVERVIEW

Exceptional depth and tonal resonance in a body shape that is easier to play.

For astoundingly great voicing in the studio, the highly resonant and full-sounding jumbo body of the Studio Bass delivers big acoustic depth and presence. This solid-top 4-string takes full advantage of Breedlove's unique bass bracing, featuring the Breedlove Bridge Truss system, which relieves stress on the guitar's top while providing additional sustain and balance. This highly resonant and full-sounding instrument sports an extra-deep jumbo body that sounds as great acoustically as it does plugged in. Speaking of plugged in, the onboard L.R. Baggs TCV preamp gives you extra volume control, a 3-band EQ, presence control (fader), phase inversion and an integrated tuner.

Comments about Breedlove Studio Acoustic-Electric Bass:

This is an enjoyable bass to play. Nice craftsmanship. It should be plugged into an amp because on it's own it won't be that loud. When plugged in the bass produces very nice tones.

Comments about Breedlove Studio Acoustic-Electric Bass:

I bought this bass for a friend. He is enjoying it. The construction is solid. Great looking woods and smooth neck (other than a minor bump near the body that was not worth sending it back for). It's fairly heavy for an acoustic.

The action is great and came set up well. The Breedlove bridge means you don't have to mess with pins. This is a great feature. Intonation is very good all the way down the neck.

In contrast to some of the other models, this does not have a "monitor" sound port on the side by the pickup controls. I couldn't determine this from the pictures on the MF site or Breedlove site. Fortunately, the bass projects well and you can hear it without the sound port.

All in all a great purchase.

          A GREAT INSTRUMENT

Comments about Breedlove Studio Acoustic-Electric Bass:

This is a wonderful instrument. It arrived with a perfect set up (done in Oregon). It has a great acoustic sound and an equally great sound when amped. There is a considerable difference between this bass and others, even those just slightly less expensive and easily the match for those that cost more. The fretboard does have a touch of upright feel. The most important thing to me is the bridge truss system that Breedlove uses to reinforce against all the tension that the bass strings exert on the body. This bass gets passed around a lot and everyone enjoys playing it. It hits the sweet spot at the price/performance ratio and worth every penny.

This bass played outstanding right out of the box...I am used to flatwound strings but even with the rounds it plays great. Not much to tweak other than changing the strings. Good workmanship and comes with a soft side case...Nice balance good electrics....just what you would expect from Breedlove....If it was stolen I would buy another for sure.....Love it!!
