Boutique styling in a new Greg Curbow design.
The carved-top body is made of luthite and features an extended upper horn for strapped balance and a deep lower cutaway for unrestricted access to all frets. The rock-maple neck extends into the body all the way to the pickup for maximum vibration transfer. Electronics include a single, slim Bartolini passive humbucker wired to an active 9V circuit with 3-band EQ and a "slap" contour switch with adjustable bass and midrange boost (accessed from the rear). Controls also include volume, treble cut, mid boost/cut and bass boost/cut knobs on the front. The fingerboard is made of Ebanol and polished to a mirror finish. It all adds up to a cutting-edge, premium-quality bass for a very affordable price.
This is a whole lot more bass than you thought you could afford. Rejoice and order today!

Neither the zoomable picture on this site nor anything I could say can really describe how this bass looks. I literally lost my breath when I first opened it from the package, and once I regained my breath all I could talk about was just how sexy, sleek, and unique this bass is. But I wouldn't give a bass all 10's based on looks alone. With the Active EQ on this bass, it seems like almost any tone is possible, and it sounds incredible, especially considering the body isn't made out of wood. Even through my decidedly not-so-great Drive 200B amp it sounds crisp and beautiful. The Slap Switch is just awesome for switching to a deep, funky slap sound on the fly. Overall, this bass is lightweight, sounds great, and with looks that will certainly make you stand out from all the people with Fenders. I seriously cannot think of a bass I would rather play.

This is a nice bass for beginner. Very small and light weight, fast and slim neck. But plastic body and fret board give this bass a very light sound(mostly Mid and High). Slap switch removes more bass tone than needed. Lower horn on body too small to play sitting down, so that you have to wear a strap. The body is light that it will get away from you when playing. Hook on end fret board at 26 &27th (E and D) gets in way when playing "Slap" style. More back ground noise than needed when bass controls are turned all the way open.

I have owned a Cort Curbow bass for 8 years before having to part ways with my old friend. The best EVER! Nothing has ever compared to Curbow 4 String bass. The tones are great, especially if you like to use distortion or any other pedal for that matter. Being one who has short stubby fingers, playing this bass was a breeze and gave way more options in tone quality than any other. I continue to search to replace my old friend with another. This bass is a great model to learn on and to grow on for that matter. You will never go wrong with Curbow, nor will you ever wanna play anything else after that. Curbow for LIFE BABY!!!
I bought this bass a little while ago. The extended fret broad is really fun to play around with. It looks fantastic, even better in real life. I get a lot of compliments on how the fret board looks. It is small, the only downside being that the lower horn is a pain when sitting. It is very thin too. A little buzz on the A string, but nothing bad. The electronics are nice, but don't have a very large range. Not a bass for reggae. It sounds very good though. Easy to play. Wide-ish thin neck. The slap switch is nice. It basically just gets rid of some mids. Pretty nice buy!
I've owned one of these for a year now, been faithful as my main bass through slap/funk and now metal, the extra overdrive on the switch is handy to cause a natural distortion (which I'm a fan of) very nice to play and very nice to step off from a larger bass when I started to have wrist problems (which have since gone away on the small bass)
I purchased this bass and have had it for around a year. The bass hass an amazing tone, with the small body it's easy to swing around on stage. This bass has been very reliable besides the fact that I've had to replace the input jack...(no big deal).. It's now starting to drain batteries fairly quick...other than that it's a very good bass for the price
This is an amazing Bass for the price you pay. No its not a Warwick, but its better than any Ibanez, Fender, Schecter, or any good mid line bass. Only turn off is can't get the real low tone you want to hold a steady groove, but its an amazing slap bass which is more my style!!!!
I bought this bass about a year ago from the store in Georgia. Its got a great tone and everything. Its really flexible. I've been playing punk rock, heavy metal, funk, blues, ska, and alternative on it. The ONLY downside that I see in it is the body is so small. It gets quite annoying sitting or standing. But overall, this is a great bass.
I brought this bass a few weeks ago and absolutley love it, im finding the switch very useful for swaping between the 'heavy' parts of my bands songs and the more tuneful.I tried out all the bass's in the shop and even compared with the ibanez I had been dreaming about I brought this one instead.I love it WOW!
I played this bass in my high school marching band as a loner. Compared to my early-80s Hamer, this is a remarkable instrument. The feel and sound were just awesome! It is a beautiful piece of art as well. I have yet to pick up a bass that makes me feel the same as I do about Cort's Curbow.
This bass is amazing, i'm so glad i bought it, the sound is magnificent and the slap tone is the best. The shape is rad and something that is totally different, which attracted me to this bass at first. This is an amazing bass, i would definitely recommend it to anyone.
i played this today at a guitar store, and this is the best and most light-weight sounding bass i have ever seen or heard. it's better than any fender or music man. the electronics, and with only one pick up that has good enough range to sound like 2 when the bass boost is on. i am definitely getting one.
