Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Jack Casady Electric Bass Guitar:

Been playing 40 years with many basses. Basses I currently have are Hofner, Gibson SG, Dean, and a home made bass. I picked this Jack Casady Alpine White up, played it and it is just a tremendous fun bass to play in playability, sound, and comfort. You can get many sound variations from it. Has a very low profile neck, smoothest neck I have ever played. I put Black Beauties DR wound strings on and it took off the perfect amount of high treble tone and sounds great, also, black strings against the Alpine White looks great. I play mine through a 100 watt Acoustic Bass amp. The sound and tone just sings.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Jack Casady Electric Bass Guitar:

The finish had tiny bubbles. The white color sprayed onto the black inside of the f-holes. The impedance adjustment knob broke (just spins uselessly) after a couple of months. A bridge screw was dinged. There were small nicks in the wood that were finished-over. Epiphone was un-moved by the photos I sent of the poor quality, and the bottom line is that Epiphone simply did not care. "Sometimes a bad one slips through," one customer service kid told me. I could have paid to return it, or waited several weeks for another one, but I was gigging weekends and needed it. It's a fine, balanced bass, but take a careful look at the finish and workmanship before you throw away the packing material / box. I still play it, but I will never expect any decent quality from Epiphone again. (unless a good one slips through)

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Jack Casady Electric Bass Guitar:

This bass is absolutely gorgeous looking in my opinion, and it plays just as good as it looks. The tone control on this instrument is insane, it really gives you a lot of control of the sound, and even though there is only one pickup, it covers a huge range of tones. The best feature is probably the gain out put knob which can give you a clean hollow body, almost acoustic sound (set at 50) to just sounding really angry and aggressive (set at 500). Unfortunately that same knob was not tightened all the way when I got the bass, but it is a pretty easy fix. This is a great bass though, with a great sound, and if you love playing around with tones like I do, this one definitely has a lot of cool sounds.
