OVERVIEW

Jump into the deep end with this affordable 5-string beauty from ESP.

Much like its 4-string brother the ESP B-104, the LTD B-105 is short on scale, but big on great sound. Its extra string allowes you to delve even deeper into the barrel of bass grooves. Its dual ESP SB-5 pickups w/ESP ABQ-2 2-band active EQ capture the bright tones created by the basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Style-wise this 5-string bass also has thick, beveled edges which accentuate the body's rounded curves. The upper horn is elongated while a deep cutaway along the much smaller lower horn gives you better access to the lowest of the 24 XJ frets. It's also got a unique angular cut at the end of the fretboard, underneath the strings, a shapely headstock, and chrome hardware, which give this bass exceptional flair.

Case sold separately.

Great 5 string

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

I played this before at a friend's house and it gets a very versatile tone. The treble and bass boosters can be adjusted to get pretty much any sound you want without the need to mess with the amp settings very much. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a great inexpensive 5 string.

Can't go wrong

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

When I saw this sitting in a local store, I just had to have it. The finish, action, and being active sold me without listening to it play. Once i got it home and plugged it in and got it tuned, my sound and tone have never been the same. This bass has the ability to be subtle, light, loud, punchy, howling and growling. It is so easy to turn this thing up and just punch a crowd in the teeth as it is to just sit back and make them dance to the groove. it is so responsive for being an inexpensive bass. I'm so glad I picked this bass up. I'm currently taking advantage of the 6 bold neck using a set of warwick black label dark lord string. the low end is a .175 up to a .085, it's only a four string set so i bought an extra .065 for the top. It easily handles these strings for my gcgcf tuning. i had to adjust the neck however for these strings and a bridge modification. If you budget is on the low side you cannot go wrong with this bass, it has the power and diversity for any sound you want.

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

I received my bass just in time for a gig (otherwise I would have been stuck playing a borrowed 6 string bass with a neck the width of a 2x4...for 4 hours)

I took her out of the box, she was in tune and ready to rumble, after the gig I had no finger fatigue OR hand fatigue, this bass is a breeze to play and great tone.

I've since practiced some 16 hours and done another gig with her...This is a great bass, if your a 4 string player I strongly suggest stepping up to a 5 string like the B105, the tone is great for any genre and the lower range adds so much more options/flavors to your style.

    Very Different in Person.

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

This bass really suprised me. First off, in person it is very dark, almost graphite looking. The neck and fretboard are so great and so comfortable. It is a physically light bass, probably lighter than alot of Ibanez BTB basses. The pickups make this tone sound better than Music Man 5 strings that I have played. The bass boost is clear and doesn't block out the true tone like other active basses. The treble boost is good too except it buzzes like crazy, maybe it just the one I got but who knows? Anyways, I had never owned an ESP before and it is flat out the best instrument I have owned/heard. So before you consider Fender, Ibanez, Music Man, or G&L, turn to ESP.

I just recently purchased this bass and let me tell ya, it's amazing. I've played many different basses, but once this beast landed in my hands I don't think I'll be playing another anytime soon. I would recommend this bass to anyone who loves and plays bass.

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

this guitar is amazing especially for the price. I have been playing bass for a little over a year now and have had 3 basses since I started and this one is without a doubt the best one so far. It is very comfortable and easy to play. it has great sound and just all around fun to play. i would recommend this bass to anyone. The color isn't exactly what the picture portrays. The color is more of a dark almost forest green rather than the teel color in the picture, or i got the wrong color but that's no big deal.

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

Picking out my first 5 string bass wasn't an easy decision. I had to find something that would give me a good sound and add alot of kick to my bass playing, but i also needed something in my budget, so when i found this esp bass, i knew that i had to have it! When i started to mess around with different sounds, i found that i really liked the pickups on the bass. They sound great with distortion and they really add of boost when i'm playing with my band. So this is definetley a great bass for its price and good for bassists just starting with a 5 string.

      Cool

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

I bought this as my first bass. I was gonna get a regular 4 stringer but my friend plays bass and he has a 5-stringer that's sick so I got one too. I went for this one because my ESP electric guitar is awesome so I knew this would be a good bass. I was right! The finish looks punk in real life and the only thing that needed changing was the strings and messin' with the truss rod. Awesome bass!

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

Although I "fill-in" with a wide range of musicians (Country, Contemporary Christian, Pop, Bluegrass, etc.), I have a small recording studio and also work with other studios in the Southwest. I wanted a quality, versatile 5-string bass in the mid-price range to add as an option to my older Ibanez 4-string to use when bass was called for (I primarily use acoustic and digital piano, synths, and workstations). I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality, ease of play, and wide range of tone on this bass - it "fills the bill" for 90%-plus of anything a bass is called for in my playing and recording; I still use an acoustic upright for bluegrass, but for everything else, this one gets the nod.

Comments about ESP LTD B-105 5-String Bass Guitar:

Used for church worship and just home jammin/recording. Strings not too close together, yet neck not too wide. Easy to play. Intonation great right out of the box. Did find G string to be a little bright compared to others, but I'm sure that is string quality and not the guitar. Got to remember to always unplug the guitar after use for it has active electronics only. No big deal. Will carry an extra battery and small screwdriver for battery compartment access. Very, very happy with this purchase.
