I bought this bass when it first came out. I loved to play it then, and after getting heavily back into music recently, I love it now. It's pretty fast and I don't remember ever having to give it much setup. It has a good tone that I only ever had with pricier and heavier basses (this one is light). It stays in tune as well as any bass twice its price, and mine been through a lot of gigs. The only complaint I ever had was that the neck and some places on the body dinged up easier than some of my others. Nothing major, I just noticed some spots here and there, and I keep it in a hard case, clean it, and always keep it secured in a stand or in the case when not in use. That could be just me too.If you are looking for a good workhorse without having to spend tons of money, this is the best bet for you.

This bass was ordered as a testbed to string up a bass as B,E,A,D instead of E,A,D,G. The guitar is beautiful (red one ordered). It is made in China and reflects a lack of overall quality. The nut is plastic and wasn't even attached with glue. Take off the strings, and the nut falls off. It does the job of being a testbed. The main bass in the house is an ESP B-500 (made in Korea). Overall, a decent entry level bass, but given that the plastic nut wasn't even attached - that gives an idea of the quality of the China product. Don't get me wrong, for the price, you can't beat it. But for long term life, I can only report back later.

      Great Bass

      By VanillaJam

Comments about ESP LTD B-154DX Bass Guitar:

I have owned this bass for 2 years and I must say that I am very impressed with this bass. The ESP LTD B-154DX has a great sound, I love the 3-band active EQ and it is a very durable, yet light, bass. The only problem that I have experienced with it is that the wiring in the high EQ was a little off, but I haven't had a problem since I fixed it. I think that this is a great bass for the price and I would recommend the ESP LTD B-154DX to anyone, experienced or not, who wants a great bass for cheap!

      Good All-round

Comments about ESP LTD B-154DX Bass Guitar:

This bass is a very very economically beneficial bass. 1/4 th the price of some of the other basses of its caliber and it puts out just as good of sound. My only criticism is its tendency to get dead frets over time. Nothing a little cleaning can't fix but can be a hassle. Overall very good buy.

great bass for a player on a budget

Comments about ESP LTD B-154DX Bass Guitar:

I've played a number of guitars in a number of stores. The problem I had was for the money I could spend there was a limited number of "good" playing guitars. I believe that this one was the best choice and I wasn't wrong. I never sounded better due to the veratility of tones that this bass offers. This was a good upgrade.

I purchased this bass about 3 months ago and absolutely love. It's smooth and has clean sound. and the electric pickups are spectacular, I prefer electric pickups over magnetic pickups any day, so overall the bass is well worth the price. Also I've been playing for roughly 4 years.

      Awesome Bass

Comments about ESP LTD B-154DX Bass Guitar:

I bought this bass before it came out in February. I was going to get the ESP LTD B-154, but it became discontinued. This is an awesome bass. It looks phenomenal. The 24 XJ frets give it an amazing neck and playability. The pick-ups are also magnificent. It barely loses its tuning even after a while. I like to pluck, and it works fine. I LOVE the 3-band EQ. This bass is totally awesome and you definitely get what you pay for.

This Bass is everything you pay for and more. For the price its perfect for those mid level bass players. I bought it about 6 months ago and I've always used it for record it has that great active punch and with a little work with the head EQ it has been my number one live and recording bass.
