OVERVIEW

Neck-thru design for tonal intensity.

The inspiration for the unique shape and design of the 5-string LTD F-5E Bass Guitar from ESP would appear to be a mix of Route 66 Interstate signs and weaponry from an old Dungeons & Dragons manual. Forgoing the traditional, rounded apple bottom bass, LTD F-series basses feature asymmetrical curves, beveled edges, and points in places you won't see on any other guitar, let alone a bass. The double cutaway design gives the upper and lower horns the appearance of a skeletal finger and thumb.

The LTD F-5E Electric Bass differs from it's siblings in that it features a 5-piece maple/mahogany neck-thru-body design, a mahogany body with a flamed maple top, and an ebony fingerboard. All of the distinct, natural hues of these woods combine for rich visuals

The LTD F-5E Bass has an extra thin "U" contoured maple neck and, with it's 35" scale and deep cutaways you get full access to the 24 XJ frets. Massive bottom end is produced by dual ESP SB-5 pickups that can be tweaked to your liking with the ESP ABQ-3 3-band EQ. Rounding out the features is an ESP BB-605 string-thru-body bridge, ESP tuners, and control knobs, all finished in black nickel.

Great instument

Comments about ESP LTD F-5E 5-String Bass Guitar:

i really like this bass, i got it for a grad. present and im so happy, it can do just about any style you want, from rock to blues, and from metal to country. i really recomend it. the only problem i had with it is that the pre-amp shorted out when i got it so ESP replaced it with out asking any questions. every night that im on stage it can stand up to the abuse i give it, the slaping, knocking, and popping. the chords and arpegios come out great. i never want to replace it. and also recomend you buy a ESP fitted F-case for it.

this thing is beast

Comments about ESP LTD F-5E 5-String Bass Guitar:

I've played bass for about two years now, and I have four of them. This one is the best of all of the basses I own. It has a great twangy sound and the sustain is amazing. Plus it looks amazing too, with the exception of the builders messing up the fretboard a little bit. If you turn all the knobs up except the tone (leave it halfway) it sounds just like a WAL, so it's good for playing Tool and sounds good with Metallica, which is mainly what I play. I would definitely recommend this bass to anyone.

this thing is beast

Comments about ESP LTD F-5E 5-String Bass Guitar:

Okay, when I first took this thing out of the box, it was already amazing. It really had a twangyness to it that I always look for in my bass sound, and after I messed with the knobs some more, it was even better. It also looks really good too, except for the fact that the Vietnamese kids left some glue on the fretboard. I would definitely reccommend this to anyone who can afford it, especially if you like playing Tool or Metallica, because it's sound is really like their bass sound.

Amazing

Comments about ESP LTD F-5E 5-String Bass Guitar:

I've been eyeing up the f series basses for awhile but never had the cash to get them. About 2 days after I got my stimulus check I saw this puppy on here and just had to have it. The sound quality is just amazing on this thing and the neck is very slick and really easy to move around on, much easier than the 5str fender jazz bass that I was playing on before. All in all, I'll prolly never find another bass that allows me to switch from all the styles of music that I play regulary and still sound great.
