ESP's economical offering for the keepers of the low end.
In 2009, ESP introduced the Phoenix-II guitars and basses to much delight. But not everyone can get an ESP. That's why the company designed these Phoenix bass guitars under the ESP LTD brand, so you can get the tone and appearance of an ESP Phoenix bass, for a great price.
The ESP LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1004 4-string electric bass guitar offers a neck thru-body construction; 34" scale; mahogany body; maple neck; ebony fingerboard; 21 XJ frets; and chrome hardware that includes Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge. Pickups on the ESP LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1004 bass are EMG 35DC active models on both the bass's bridge and neck.
The 35DC pickup, with its modern appearance, is actually a product of over 30 years of design experience. Reproducing an extended range cleanly—both higher and lower—taxes the abilities of conventional pickups. In the 35DC, EMG have succeeded in getting this extended range by using an ultra-low-noise, low-impedance internal preamp, paired with ceramic loaded dual parallel coils, resulting in an extremely versatile unit that can be used for just about anything from the cleanest highs down to the dirtiest growling lows.
Pick up this ESP LTD bass today for the tone and 'tude you're after!

Comments about ESP LTD Phoenix-1004 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
EMG 35DC pickups and Gotoh bridge and tuners on a neck through mahogany body...Looks and sounds METAL lml...........But I guess you can play other stuff on it too
Deep crunchy tone and lots of sustain as a result of the neck-through body and a beefy Gotoh bridge. The neck is pretty thin, great for a guitarist - turned bass player. The reversed headstock will take some getting used to. Aside from that, I can't put this beast down! I think my Fender P is getting a little jealous
