OVERVIEW

Plenty of attack, active electronics, and a lightning-fast fretboard.

The ESP LTD Surveyor-4 Electric Bass Guitar offers bolt-on neck construction for added attack and snap. The neck's U-contour makes for quick and easy access to all of the Surveyor bass's 21 extra-jumbo frets. This model now features white binding on the fingerboard and pearloid block inlays.

Bold, responsive sound comes courtesy of EMG active pickups and 3-band EQ, along with coil tap mini-switch for brighter single-coil tones from the bridge pickup. With its breathtaking swamp ash body, maple neck, chrome hardware, and sleek black pickups, the ESP LTD Surveyor-4 bass keeps you playing into the late hours with sonic control and visual brilliance.

Comments about ESP LTD Surveyor-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

The first thing you notice is the poor setup. I have purchased many ESP guitars and basses and they always seem to require a setup. At this point I expected that so I wasn't surprised. I just think for the price you pay, they should at least be setup, but usually they have bowed necks and super high action.

Once you setup the bass you realize you can't beat it for the price. This bass is designed to give you a convincing tone of a Fender Jazz bass and Musicman bass in one package. It does a great job of this. You'd think this would primarily be a slap monster, but it actually makes a great rock and metal bass.

While I don't think this bass has a ton of tones, the tones it has are exceptionally good. This bass also very easy to play. I have to take off a star because of setup issues, but otherwise an amazing bass for the money!

Comments about ESP LTD Surveyor-4 Electric Bass Guitar:

Love the way this bass feels and plays, pickups sound great, lots of different tones with the active pickups. Setup was terrible out of the box, fret buzz and string rattle was horrible. I usually can do my own setup and adjustment, but this bass was so bad I had to pay to have someone do it. Plays much better now, haven't had it long or played it much, so time will tell with how it holds up. Sure is pretty though!
