Fender’s Classic series ’70s Precision Bass authentically evokes the era when the first electric bass rocked with more versatile use than ever, from prog to punk and metal to funk. Vintage touches include bass-side thumb rest (first adopted in 1974), ’70s-style large headstock logo and bound neck with block inlays.

    Comments about Fender '70s Precision Electric Bass:

    Great P-Bass with added top end sound. I love the mid-range focus this P-bass facilitates; Not a scooped out sound like those P-basses with Baseline QPer's. I did have to raise the action, but I play aggressively. Fret buzz does come into play if I get carried away. I will tweek the truss rod before I record with this ax. The best sounding and best looking P-Bass I've played (with the exception of a 60's P-bass I played 20+ years ago). This is a great rock-n-roll bass, so get you one and get those booties shakin. I have a J-Bass too and it may end up taking a perminent vacation!

      I am extremely happy with this bass. I used to own a 90s model MIM Precision and I had been going back and forth as to which p-bass to buy, and selected this beauty in sunburst. It's made in Japan, along with the Sting and Steve Harris models, so you know the production is top notch. After it arrived, I fine-tuned the bridge and was floored by how well it played and sounded. The neck feels great and my fingers glide all over the vintage frets. I wouldn't recommend stainless steel roundwounds, as they'll wear them down quicker. That's the unfortunate price you pay for the lower frets. I own Spector and Music Man basses and I find myself playing this one more and more. All in all, this is a sturdy, simple, and well made bass. I may however, replace the tone pot with a Tonestyler.
