this bass pack is all you need to get going and rock out! i got mine 3 weeks ago and its totally awesome to play. it feels great and i was totally comfortable playing it right out of the box. one thing i recommend is the FastTrack dvd/book set b/c the dvd this comes with leaves out some of the more basic stuff which makes it a litte harder to learn. but you should still watch this dvd b/c it teaches some great stuff! if you're thinking of getting this pack, think no longer! Go for it!!

if you must buy this, get the extended warenty. mine broke after the fourty five day warenty and musicians friend wouldnt help me.

the amp is the only thing that is still functional. i had a pickup go out after three months. the strap broke. the frets are out of tune. and the cable is junk.
if youre just starting out, i recomend saving the extra couple hundred and getting something alittle better.

I got my P-bass pack about 2 weeks ago and I love it. The bass has outstanding quality. Intonation is perfect. The amp has great clear sound. At first it had a hum, but I switched out the instrument cable and it's gone. The sound is crystal clear. People complain about the strap. BUY A STRAP! I've got a leather strap that I've had for about 40 years. I have a couple of woven Fender straps. They don't wear out. I have several high end guitars. Add this one to my list.

It is a fantastic bass for beginners to get started on.The price is amazing.The bass is easy to get used to and I would recommend this to anyone thinking about playing the bass.
Everything is fantastic from the bass to the amp and everything in between.Very light.
Great sound.The amp is wonderful.The sound is way better than you would think for a bass of that price.Also the neck and frets are very easy to navigate.

no bass can match the sound of a fender precision bass.
the bass value packs could be a little cheaper, because if it was cheaper then it would be called a value pack.

I would not recommend this to someone is very serious about playing. It is a good starter for someone in their teens and may drop it later. I would say to invest a little more for a better bass that would really want to play.
Very light which means that it has less electronics. Therefore, less features.
It is ok for kids to start with. I am a start but this is way to simple. I needed something lasts. I owned for two and am returning it asap.
It is cool since it has all you need to start playing out of the box. I find it hard to believe that the price is right. Should be less expensive.

I tried this bass out about a month ago. And I must say that it is not bad. Defiently a good bass for students just starting to play. However, as good as this thing is, I still think that the jazz bass is much better (I own a squier jazz bass and I HIGHLY reccomend it). But the Precision is still good. Once again it is very good for starters.

This pack has got absolutely everything you need to get started and everything you get, the amp, the bass itself, the tuner are all extremely simple to use.The only drawback (which is a strength as well, believe it or not) is that the strings are a bit too loose which but is very easy on your fingers and makes it easier to learn slaps or pops.
