The American Standard Hand-Stained Ash Precision Bass is a beautifully distinctive new take on the revolutionary Fender instrument that started it all. With all the Precision’s sonic muscle, this special version gives the American Standard Precision Bass an ash body with a gorgeous hand-rubbed stain beneath a satin-lacquer finish. The maple-fingerboard model in elegant amber stain is a uniquely finished instrument with all of the familiar specs of an American Standard Precision Bass like an ash body with a modern C shape maple neck, 20 medium jumbo frets, a high mass vintage bridge and American Standard Precision Bass single split coil pickup.
Included accessories: Fender/SKB case, cable, strap and polishing cloth.

This is the only guitar I purchased without playing first. When it arrived, I was stunned. The finish is great! The satin neck feels good no matter how long you play. The guitar is very comfortable and the setup was near perfect for me. I only had to make minor adjustments.
It is hard to put this bass down. The tone is wonderful. Clear, punchy with just enough growl. But it is not dirty. the notes are very articulate.
This immediately moved into my "go to bass" category. I weighs a little less than my American Standard Jazz, but almost a pound more than my 1975 Precision. It is ~9 pounds.
Fit and finish on this bass leaves nothing to be desired. It is, in my opinion, perfect. I wouldn't change a thing!
Musicians Friend customer, as always, was the BEST!
