I got this bass for Christmas this past year, and I love it! It has a smooth, chocolatey sound with quite a bit less in terms of fret buzz than most other fretted acoustic basses I've tried to date. You can also play any style you want (including funk) with ease and grace. It also sounds great on an amp. Best Christmas present I've ever received.

i bought this bass because i dont have electricity. my first bass was a squier p bass which i couldn't play without an amp. once i got this bass it took me two years to develop a style not unlike les clapool's. if you want a bass that will boost your skill at an accelerated rate i highly recommend this bass.

I bought this bass so I could just pull it out and play whenever I had a few minutes or hours and not have to worry about amps and whatnot. You could defimitely do worse for a lot more money. The sound unamplified isn't that impressive as it has a smallish body. If you jam with friends that have warm, rich tone on their 6-strings, you're gonna get lost. But this bass shines once you plug it in, I play mine through my BassPod all the time. You'll probably want an aftermarket pickup as the stock one leaves a little to be desired as feedback is an issue. For a "pick it up and play" bass, it's hard to beat this value. I'd recommend it to anyone dispite it's very few shortcomings.

Sounds great mic'd and plugged into my 60 watt Bassman combo. Not much comes out unplugged due to it's small body and short scale, but that is the only drawback I've found. You can play pretty much any kind of music with it. It has great punch, tone, and balance for any bass, let alone for an A/E. I highly recommend this to players who like the acoustic sound but don't want to empty the bank.

The one I got is in Black (which looks really good), and sounds great. The neck is nice and thin, and you can easily get to the 17th fret on the g-string. The sound un-plugged is nice and full (like an acoustic should be), but when I plugged mine in it did not pick up the e-string very well. All the other strings sounded lound but when I plunked the e it was a lot quieter. I don't know if it is just my bass or not. Still if you want a nice bass to walk around your house and play, I'd pick this bass. If you want to play live and plugged in you'd probably feel uncomfortable with this bass.
