    This Fender '64 Jazz Bass NOS (new old stock) takes you through a time warp. It is exactly the same instrument as manufactured in '64 with an alder body, maple neck, round laminate rosewoood fingerboard, chrome hardware, vintage reverse tuning machines, and a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard. Includes deluxe brown textured-vinyl hardshell case, strap, and cable.

    This is one of the best basses I have ever played. I originally bought it because of the number of famous bassists who play them, and the sound they get out of them. I was right to assume that the sound is characteristic of the guitar, and not the rest of their equipment. It is a very versatile, easy to play, great sounding guitar. Highly suggested to every bassist looking for a top of the line bass.

    I tried this baby out way back when it was first on the market.  If was freakin' amazing!  Unparallelled tone quality!  The only thing that really got me was the resonating bars.  That got in the way of doing slap.  Other than that I'd recommend this bass to anyone who likes it.
