    Nice but could be better

    Features:

Nice for what it is, nothing special features wise.  Wouldn't mind seeing an active preamp that you can bypass, to make it active OR passive.   I think it could be improved in 3 major ways, by:    1) Making it LIGHTER or thinner- these ash bodies are ANCHORS and kill the shoulder.    2) Make it available w/a nice MAPLE neck w/PEARL BLOCKS, Fenders most fetching neck, in my opinion, and hardest to find, ESP. in a LH model.  They were on the 70's models, and on a few Japan reissues today.  Look GREAT w/ash body!!   And 3)  Please, PLEASE- give these poor basses a QUALITY, string-through-body BRIDGE, or use an aftermarket Schaller, Gotoh or other string through model for the kind sustain!!

    Quality:

Generally well-made and well-finished, like most Fender products. The ash body would 'come out' more w/a lemon yellow, honeyburst, or even a vintage 'tint', in my opinion. Natural is just too boring, for ME anyway.

    Value:

More features like maple necks, better thru bridge, more versatile elec's and LIGHTER WEIGHT would make this model more palateable, ESP. among the oft-neglected lefty players like me.  With more features, I dare say I would even pay somewhat more for it, depending on where it was made.  Anything that gets me closer to the LH 70's Jazz Bass I used to have (in the 70's but damaged in a fire) would also cause me to reach deeper into my wallet to acquire!!                    As IS, it's a decent value in today's market.  But the LH Squire Deluxe is a better deal.

    Overall:

Not too much bad to say, serviceable, decent-sounding import Jazz Bass that OK looking, but no lightweight. Finish could be more interesting and colorful, yet still show off the ash body. And I DON'T mean w/a boring tobacco-burst either!  Lemon tint, honeyburst of aged cherryburst would make it killer looking, body-wise. A maple neck w/pearl blocks would REALLY top it off though!!

This is a very nice bass guitar for the newbie to the advance player. The photo does not show you just how nice this bass looks. It's easy to play and has a nice tone. I think it's a great bass for the money.

Fantastic bass, sounds and plays great.  I just put some D'Addario Chromes flatwound strings on it and it is a joy to play.  It is quite heavy due to the ash body, and it does have a somewhat flimsy and thin "vintage" bridge, but I feel that both of these factors help the bass achieve its nice tone.  I believe that there are few basses that can compete at this price.  Oh, and for a lefty like me, this bass is one of the best options available!

This guitar is marvelous!  Got it yesterday and it sounded and looked awesome right out of the box.  Sustain for miles...stock strings were awesome, but I put new ones on anyway.  Keeping the old ones for spare.  Stays in tune perfectly.  Very beautiful natural finish that you just can't find in a lefty.

I have played a few other lefties, but this one easily stands above em. I haven't played any very high end basses, but this is the best that I have played. My only beef is that there is no master volume knob, but I can live with that. Stock pickups are great, play it through a Ampeg BA115T, with some thomastik flatwounds, souds amazing. Would definitely buy again.
