Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
My only issue is with the cheap gig bag. I guess it will keep the dust off of it.
I now understand now why the P-bass is a legend. Great quality. Very solid bass.
This bass plays and sounds so good that I had no choice but to give it a 10!
Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
The closest to pre-CBS that regular-people money can buy. The finish kept me away for years - nonstarter. I did some reading and took a chance - and now I'm mental over this great bass.
Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
Like the other reviewers I was a little put off by the "road wear" and the price! But after an afternoon playing Custom shops I picked up a MIM Fiesta Red P bass...after about 10 minutes through an 810 I was paying for the bass! The pups are weak, although you can make them sound fine with the help of an SVT or Fliptop. THe neck does feel wonderfull, the finish is really nice, the aging looks great, all in all a great P bass.Resale value seems low on these basses though.
Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
I tried this bass out along with the road worn jazz bass, and I have to say that the jazz bass was much better,(more tone selection and better feeling neck), but the p-bass sounds okay. If you want my advice, save up a hundred bucks more and go jazz bass.
Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
honestly i dont really care for the "wear" to much on the bass but it plays soooo well i had to pick one up. granted the wear is tastefully done, not like an extreme relic. ill probably wear it more anyway. i a,b'd a lot of fender p bass's @ my local guitar store and this one came out on top so i ordered it.best sounding bass for the money!i put quality down to a 3.5 bc the tuners which i love the style were extremely stiff when i received the bass, i guess they need a little broken in.
Comments about Fender Road Worn '50s Precision Bass:
I purchased a 2-tone sunburst P-Bass in a store. When I first saw the ad for this model I wasn't really all that interested. However, when I played it I was shocked by it's quality. It plays great and they use good wood and the finish is done nicely. But, the electronics lack as they are aged stock Mexican standard pickups and cheesy wiring. So I purchased a Duncan Antiquity PU, rewired it with vintage cloth wire and now it kicks. I sunk about another 200 bucks into it to make it great so I think Fender should bring the price down 200 at least or, start putting American vintage wiring and PU's in them. Other than that. I'm REALLY happy!
