Comments about Fender Select Precision Bass Guitar:

I have played guitar for over 50 years, but I am just learning to play bass. After a few days of practicing, this bass feels just right to me. It sounds great and is very well built. I look forward to many more years of enjoyment with this instrument.

Just bought my Fender Select P bass from our local dealer. I've been playing Fender P basses for 45 years and IMO this is the best of Fender.

Comments about Fender Select Precision Bass Guitar:

Well, getting this select P bass was quite an adventure. The first time it was shipped to me I noticed a nail sticking out of the case. When I opened it, I noticed that there was a strap lock that floated around because this loose nail had lifted the storage compartment inside the case were you store the strap. Nice case by the way but they should have used a screw instead of a nail to hold that compartment down. After carefully inspecting the bass I noticed deep scratches in the back of the body most likely from that lock rubbing against it during transport. MF was really great and replaced it but when I received the replacement, the first thing I noticed AGAIN is that nail was sticking out of the case. Luckily the strap locks didn't come out of the compartment this time and do damage so the bass was A1. You get a manual, strap, cable, Allen wrenches that are all in a big zip lock bag. You would figure that Fender would throw the case keys and the strap locks in the bag as well, but they are loose in the compartment. One other thing, the first one I received had an authenticity certificate stating that is 1 of 100 but the second one didn't have it inside the case. Other than that feels great and love the neck with its nice smooth finish. Nice quality bass, although it isn't Fender that makes the case. My rating is 5 stars for the bass but only 3 stars for the case even though it is very nice.

This is a beautiful, solidly built bass. I play in a classic rock cover band and this is the most versatile bass I have played and fits perfectly for almost any genre of classic rock from Elton John to Styx and Led Zeppelin. BUY THIS BASS!

Comments about Fender Select Precision Bass Guitar:

I highly recommend this guitar and feel the price will surely go up.
I compare this to an American STD P Bass. I held them side by side and they are identical in size, shape, and unplugged volume / sustain of a plucked string. Maybe it's in the pick-ups but I really believe this sounds better plugged in. There's better sustain and clarity of the strings. Escpecially in full treble. I like the way the hight gloss maple neck feels on my fingers. I enjoy this more than my P bass amer std.

Get one at this intro price while you can
Very tight and detailed fit and trim. Highly buffed and shiny. Much better than the pictures over the internet reflect.

Excellent sound & tone is a step up for sure.
For the extras and quality of the woods, it was only 700 dollars more than an American STD P bass.

I really believe this is a bargain for what you're getting.
