This bass is excellent. The zebra wood fret board makes it extremely easy to play and the sound is clear. It is a little deep, but the wings on it make it look beautiful and it really is a nice bass. The color is good, and if you're looking for a collector's item, buy this bass. Be careful with it if you buy it, it's delicate.
This Zebra is T-bird # 4 for me. Not only does it stand out from my other 3 (Ebony, White and Sunburst) with it's unique looks, I believe the Zebra Wood gives this bird a little more bottom end and sustain. This bass has the look and the sound. A limited run of 400 ensures this bird to be a sound investment. I've got mine!
This Thunderbird is so fun to play, easy. It is solid as a rock. Very Heavy, but that is ok, it eliminates most of the neck dive in this model because of the beautiful zebrawood wings. It looks fantastic, I get many comments from the audience, even more than my white Tbird. The sound is very clear and DEEP. I use a sansamp on it to boost crispness and I am right where I want to be tonally. Get this bass. There were only 400 made. It is a collectable instrument because of this.
